I love last night when his bathrobe was open and Peter was telling him to close it.. and Walter said something like I am sure the doctor is familiar with Pe***es

I missed it last night & wish I wouldn't have. I'll have to see if it's viewable at the website.

Love it! Especially liked last night's - the kid really has me intrigued.

Walter cracks me up anyway, but the bit about the robe was the best!

Ok last night was the second time I saw this show and while I found the plot somewhat entertaining, I wasn't that impressed. I find Olivia the main character so dull sometimes. Other than Joshua Jackson trying to play grown-up now after his tv teen life, what other purpose does he serve? The only one that seems to have any life in him is Walter.
Also - the previews after the show, was that only for next week or for the next run of shows. Will there be any resolve with the bald boy and what becomes of him or is that just left up to us and poor story telling?
I'll have to give it another chance. Which will probably happen since it airs after AI.

I think it's one of those shows you have to have watched all along to have a chance of really "getting" it - like Lost. It's a continuing story which should all be ultimately revealed and resolved. Without including any spoilers, what happened at the very end hearkens back to previous episodes.

I don't find Olivia dull at all. Peter (Joshua Jackson) is kind of the Tom Cruise-like straightman to Walter's Rainman. They and their relationship are hilarious to me.

I actually really enjoy this show, even though it's pretty out there. At least it doesn't try to be all realistic like some of the crappy CSI shows... they're no fun to watch because my chemist SO is always saying "Oh yeah right!! The NMR Mass-spec doesn't bla bla bla......" and with my knowledge of anatomy/physiology I have a hard time suspending my disbelief, too.

I agree. I love the interactions between Peter and Walter, and the tension between Olivia and Peter is really fun! It was more intense at the beginning of the show, so I hope they kick it up a notch here soon. Although I wonder why they're starting to make Olivia have lots of interactions with kids... sorta freaking me out. Is there a baby in the future for Olivia? And I don't like having her sister and niece living with her; I like their characters and I just know something bad is going to happen to them.

They have a tendency to leave each episode's story sort of in the air at the end. It gets irritating some times but I know they'll bring it all back together and make it all make sense. Like at the end of last night's episode, when the little boy saw The Observer... they look really similar, don't they?

BTW, did anyone notice that they've sort of changed the episodes a bit? The first few were really good, and last nights and the preview for next weeks look like they are going to be more scary/violent. Guess the reviews told the producers they needed more of that to keep people's attention. Too bad.

My husband watches this, and sometimes I will watch it with him. I like it when I see it, but for whatever reason, it's not a show that I seek out. I guess I'm overloaded with TV watching with TiVo (DVR). It does seem like an interesting show, though.

Love that show. I had it set to be taped and my husband said American Idol was on instead and he cancelled the taping of Fringe. So I totally missed it. Guess I have to go find it online!

Sooooo bummed I missed it. One of my fav shows on...

I didn't open this thread all day thinking the poster was talking about bangs (like fringe bangs).

Then I saw who the op was and figured deedles probably isn't talking about some trendy hairstyle.

I guess I've pretty much answered the original question -- I don't even know what show you guys are talking about.... I'll bow out now.

Default CORRECTION: Life on Mars not Fringe!!!

CORRECTION: I was looking up something about both shows and was thinking LOM but writing Fringe. SORRY! As far as I know, Fringe is OK!! Never mind . . . .

I just saw on ImDb.com that Fringe has been cancelled after this season, GRRR!

Every time a find a show I like, they cancel the dang thing: Men in Trees, Invasion, October Road, Lipstick Jungle and Cashmere Mafia to name only a few recent ones. The networks can never just leave a show alone in a set time slot so that it ever has a chance to find and build an audience! Plus they'll have a few episodes on and then go away indefinitely and expect all the previous viewers to drop whatever else they've found in the meantime when it finally returns. Yeah, you can TiVo it, but you've gotta know that it's coming back to do so.

OK, rant finished !

Hey auntnett.. are you sure?? about fringe being cancelled.. I don't see anything about that.. can you link what you read on imdb?

I am surprised if its true since they just landed Leonard Nimoy for the cast

D

eta... this is the quote from EW.com

Question: Leonard Nimoy as William Bell on Fringe? In a word, awesome. How long will he be around for? --Jeremy
Ausiello:
He'll appear in one scene in the May 12 finale and then return next season for three more episodes. I hear the character's arc was significantly cut back to accommodate Nimoy, who was only interested in doing a handful of episodes. The moral of this story: A little Leonard Nimoy is better than no Leonard Nimoy.
