Anyone else absolutely love Etsy?

I recently got this hair barrette thingy from Etsy. It's fairly large...makes a bun or a half-up. I love copper.

I've done it again, I couldn't help myself. There are entirely too many cute purses on that freakin' site. SIX pockets inside, I can't wait.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
LOVE etsy! I've gotten lots of really pretty hair sticks/forks on there. My favorite thing about it is the fact that the sellers are usually the actual makers of the items, so you can directly email them and ask about custom work. I found some bracelets I liked from one seller but wanted a different combination of beads, so I emailed her, and she wrote back and is making me some bracelets exactly to my specifications.

Love me some etsy.

I needed a better belt for a vintage inspired short sleeve charcoal gray wool dress, which led me to purchase from etsy for the first time. The payment process was more of a breeze than I expected.

RCW, she probably just means for storage of them

I really don't like Etsy. I'm sorry, but I find the stuff looks too homemade. I haven't found anything on there that I would purchase.
From Michael Berg:

Every person has a unique connection to the Creator that can never be extinguished, and every person has a great soul that can manifest important things in our world. To make a person feel less than they are because of something inside themselves, be it faith, race, or sexual orientation, is the greatest sin of all."
^ lol. I think thats the point

I love well-crafted homemade stuff- and some of the pieces you find on there are exquisite! Of course there is an awful lot of rubbish too- but the highlights features definitely help point you in the direction of high quality stuff.

I think it is wonderful, being an arty person myself, that there is a professional, well-run, business website where anyone can earn some money using their (often incredible) talents. Its not like you can sell a lot of that stuff in all the generic high street shops that are everywhere nowdays.

This thread has some really cute things in it. Do you all still like what you bought? Do you have any new shops you love?
I wish I could find real life etsy places, I can't find none, because I want to buy people homemade gifts/made not in factories because they're more special and unique.

I'm trying to find a place so I can get something for my mutti.

Murrrr, do you have craft fairs near you at all? Or a local arts center? Many of those vendors/artists are also on etsy, and if they aren't, they should be!
What are you looking for murrr? Maybe someone can custom something for you on Etsy.
I think she means etsy. ^^^

There's a place down in Alameda called The Modern Mouse that has several Etsy sellers items in the store. I saw a necklace there that was adorable and Mr. Spring got it for me as a Christmas gift.

I carried the heck out of that purse upthread, held together beautifully and I still love it. My dad asked me if I was a hobo when he saw it.

These are the two necklaces I got, they were an absurd amount that I hate to even think about what he spent.

I like that I can find really unique items on Etsy. My daughter S is obsessed with Doctor Who. This morning we were looking at Tardis dresses. Yes, plural! I didn't think there would be one, much less a bunch!!!
