Yes, ITA.

The only place I feel like I have to make an extra effort because of race is here.
I agree with CGE, geeky and CMD on this one! I think of people based on who they are. I either like them or I don't. It has nothing to do with race; and it is so true for me that the only time it's an issue is here.
triple ditto
ditto again! Only here and then it carried to other areas online because of here.

That's why I picked "just don't care".

I will always give people the benefit of the doubt in the beginning, after that, if we did not hit it off as friends, I will continue to be nice to them as long as they are nice to me. If they are rude, etc. I will most likely just avoid them all together.
Ditto.

I really don't care; I aim to be courteous to everyone, and I respond to people based on whether they are courteous or are &%$@#!.

i don't find that i have to try to get along with people based on their background and its similarity or difference to my own. folks is folks.

being of mixed heritage (part of it being historically minority in nature) i guess i always feel somewhat identified with other people of color or minorities (religious, ethnic, whatever), in regard to certain experiences.

all that being said, i make it a point to be educated about and understand (and enjoy learning about) the cultural background and experiences of others.

i try not to assume anything.
