Halle Berry pregnant again?

All the blogs are reporting that she's 3 months pregnant. I'm glad she seems to have found some happiness. Third time's a charm, I guess.

The third time for what?

Yes, I hope she is happy.

She doesn't look pregnant to me but who knows?

I've also heard that she is and in all of the photos I've seen of her lately, she's got a baggy shirt on and a big purse over her belly. Classic celebrity "hide my pregnancy" tricks.

i think that's wonderful news if she's pregnant.
it would be even more wonderful if she were married.

I am happy for her. She has been so busy with her career, now she can relax and take care of her family.
Although I wish she was a married mom, I'm happy for her. She's had so many problems with men. She seems happy now...Listen to me, I talk like I know her...

I was reacting to the statement that "Whatever problems are associated with unwed parenthood are due to lack of money," which just really stood out to me. I think financial problems are far from the only ones associated with unwed parenthood.

As far as whether a workaholic dad is better than an absentee father, well I think the former is slightly better than the latter. At least the workaholic dad comes home sometimes. I think a lot of fathers in this category are trying to do right by their families and believe that working a lot/providing for their families is the way to do so. Plus, they assume their kids are in capable hands with their mothers. However, marriage doesn't guarantee the father's involvement, as you already said.

But a father who's not around at all...? Well, that explains itself. IMO the belief that your parent doesn't care about you has a huge potential effect on a child. I think Halle Berry's own upbringing is an example of that.

And, true, I also shouldn't assume though that all unmarried mothers are without a father around. Some are together, just not in marriage. But personally I think this gives a child an image of instability, as if mommy and daddy are just together for the moment.

I'm happy for her. Seems like she is (finally) in a good situation.

i like legality of marriage as well as a public declaration of your love and commitment to your partner.

marriage may be passe for some and it certainly holds no guarantees, but i think the initial effort means something.

my mother wasn't married to my father and my child's father never married me. i think that sucks and still to this day i feel less valued than the children my father had with his wife even though they divorced.

eta,
i am truly happy for her but halle never looks happy to me. she always looks depressed.

anyway, i'm sure she wants more than 1 kid. she said that on a talk show but wasn't sure because of her age. it's easier to have both kids with the same guy especially if y'all are still sort of together or together.

i'm happy for getting to be a mom. i'm happy if her relationship is a good one for her, and i hope it is. i just sense that halle isn't very happy on the inside. on a side note, i was talking to someone one day about how i have never seen her with other women as friends, not her sister or other actresses or anybody. that struck me as odd. many of the actresses have at least one other friend in the business that you see them with sometimes. other stars will throw baby showers for their friends and pics get sent around the internet. nothing, halle always seems like a lone ranger....

I've thought about that at times too. Then I realized I can't possibly know what her life's really like.

However, I did hear that when Eric Benet cheated on her it was with HB's best friend (among others). So maybe she's afraid of being around other women too much.

(i used to know an emmy winning writer who used to work with halle and he said she was not mentally stable. he told me this in the 90's. also a friend of mine had a friend who dated david justice after he divorced halle, he told her that halle was irrationally jealous and argumentative.)
Actually I saw some recent pictures of her and her man and they looked VERY happy! There were on the beach with that beautiful little girl of theirs.

And here is an excerpt from an interview with her:

Twice-divorced actress Halle Berry -- who has a 15-month-old daughter, Nahla, with model Gabriel Aubry -- says her previous bad relationship experiences made her vow never to walk down the aisle again.

She said:
I'm much clearer about what a relationship is, which is why I will never marry again. Gabriel and I have a great partnership and a lovely daughter. But I once was stupid enough to say, in a previous relationship, 'I'm going to be with this person for ever,' and realized, as I grew, that I don't know if for ever is possible.

Gabriel and I don't look at our relationship in terms of forever, we look at it as right here today. And today means being the best people we can be, the best parents we can be. It's wonderful, but neither one of us feels the need to attach ourselves to each other for life -- because it may not be that."
