I like Radar from the list.
Not from the list:
Tucker
Calvin
Jasper
Carl
No rhyme or reason to the off-list names; they just seem like they could suit him depending on his personality.

I wouldn't name my dog after a detection device, but he looks very alert, so, I vote for Radar.

Getting some good suggestions here! Keep it going!
Feel free to suggest anything, the list was just a starting point for us.
My son liked the Cody suggestion, and Radar is growing on him (he didn't like it when I suggested it initially). The only thing is that his ears *may* not stand erect when he is fully grown. They still go up and down each day; when we met him, he had one up and one folded over--so cute! Hubby likes Mocha and Kona, as his color reminds him of coffee.
Son says Bug is out, he doesn't want to say one day, "I hate bugs!" or "Squash that bug!" and hurt the dog's feelings. LOL

A man just came over for the inspection. We we're quite ready, as there are still things at puppy level that could be chewed, etc. But I did stress that Puppy is not house-trained so will be sleeping in a crate, will not be left alone loose in the house at all, keeping mostly to the kitchen area (no carpet) and living room while I supervise him. He will be supervised outside as well (stuff to chew there too, plants and all). But a puppy should never be left alone without being contained anyway, right? Just like a baby.
The man is the father of one of the volunteers. He will speak to them and hopefully one of them will call me about pickup details. Like I said before, we were led to believe we wouldn't get him until 9/12 so we are still in the process of preparing.

I like to give pets full names, ie my cats: Carl Sagan and Vivienne Westwood...
So I recommend Jimmy Smits or Leonard Nimoy.

LOL I actually mentioned Spock but the guys didn't like it.
Love that Carl Sagan, but not for this guy.
Oh, we'll have to come up with a middle name, our dogs always have one too! Samson was actually Samson Koa (double strong!).

My ex-boyfriend's mom wanted to train their new puppy's ears to stand up. Something like this.

No thanks. I don't plan to glue my puppy's ears up. I guess it would help if one ear stayed up and the other didn't, but I like to leave my dogs the way they are/grow. His littermates had ears down when we met him, they were cute too!

I just got an email, she says the home visit went well and wants to know when we can arrange to pick him up! Unfortunately, we already had plans to go out of town Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon, so we'll have to wait until next week.

No, jeepcg likes it too. And my son says it's growing on him. Who knows, he may stay Dragonfly, or it will be his middle name.
WF - Which human names do you like?
