It is. But they are being very hush hush about Jobs. I think they are worried about Apple stock because he is so affiliated with Apple and supposedly the brains behind all their new products.

There is only a 4% survival rate past 5 years once you are diagnosed with this type of cancer. My SO's dad had this cancer-he took some pretty aggressive measures with doctors in Boston and actually lived 7-8 years after. His doctors called him their miracle patient-I think they thought they had it beat but unfortunately they did not.

On the latest NKOTB album there's a song called Dirty Dancing (pretty good too) and the refrain is "ooh, it's so crazy, she's like Baby, I'm like Swayze...."

I was so sad when I heard. I'm glad he is at peace and out of pain. He was truly in a class by himself. I broke out the North and South last night to start my movie reviewing. Also, his Vida Boheme in To Wong Foo makes that film. He will be greatly missed.

Jobs had a different type of pancreatic cancer that is less invasive. He had a Whipple procedure, which is a very major surgery. I don't think it's been stated whether the original cancer metastasized to the liver, or whether there was some other problem with his liver.

I am guessing but I bet it metastasized to the liver. Often people are not even diagnosed with pancreatic cancer as it is so hard to determine that type of cancer as the symptoms are very vague.

+1 Loved him in that movie.

I was sad when I heard, but mostly for his family. For him, I'm relieved.

Unhappy

Wow, that interview with Barbara Walters is heartbreaking. You could see how much he and his wife loved each other.

I'm not really one to mourn celebs or people I didn't know personally, but I did really have a soft spot for Swayze...Dirty dancing and she's like the wind really remind me of my youth.

On the recent New Kids tour, during that song they have a video of Patrick (from the film) playing behind them on the big screen. The audience just goes nuts for it every time.

What a beautiful man and gone far too soon
