Wii for Excercise?

Do people actually use this to workout and does it work?

I'm moving soon and don't want to renew my gym membership as there won't be one close to the new place.

I have a Wii and a friend suggested using that inbetween. Can you really get much of a workout doing it?

I only have the sports game that comes with it, but she said she would lend me her fit board or whatever its called.

Thoughts?
I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.

I love my Wii fit and I use it everyday. I have noticed a big difference. I have toned up a lot.

to me the only wi game i have that actually works to lose weigh and tone is ACTIVE.
For instance i did active this morning for 30-some minutes. I did a lot lunges, squats, squat hold-- for friggin 60 seconds, running, running with your feet sorta kickin' ya in the but, more lunges, speed skating (where you have to squat to gain speed-- (it hurts like a you know what) and then jump off lits, rows for my arms, kick backs for arms, shoudler stretch. Vollyeball-- bumping, spiking, setting, baseball, throwing, catching.
that was just the particular exercises i chose today.
When I use it - it kicks my butt. I have Active too and find that much more like a workout-you can put it what you want to work and for how long. But like anything-if you do not use it it is useless but if you were used to going to a gym you would probably be fine. I hate the resistance bands that came with it so I bought some other ones and I hate them too. That is my only issue with it.

Wii Fit is fun, I know that it can kick my butt after awhile. My only problem is is that I wish you could set it to do a regimen. Instead, I have to pick through games to figure out what I want for 30+ mins. I want to check out the other workout games and see if there's more cardio options.

I saw a new game with both Bob and Jillian from The Biggest Loser that's coming out soon too geared toward exercise.

I have Active and it kicked my butt so bad I haven't used it since.
I really love active. I love when new games come out. I'm sorta getting bored with active, but want another game equally as challenging
