It has become one of my new favorites!

When does it start? I'm quite excited.

(I'm currently tv-watching-less so I have no idea what is going on on tv nowadays... darn that digital conversion while I was cozy with directv!!!)

I don't know. I normally watch but there is some poor woman who lost both of her children and her husband in a car accident and you know, BL is ruthless. They will milk her and push her for every tear she has left and I just don't know if I can watch that. I watched some of the previews online and when they got to her part, showing pictures of her little girl and her baby...I just don't know if I'm up to that.

Yeah, that pisses me off. We don't need to see that kind of pain.

Isn't there enough drama in a fat person trying really hard to get thin?

I am all for her getting her shot and I know BL helps people lose a lot of weight. I know she probably wants or needs to talk about it BUT tv is just entertainment. Even when it pretends to be some kind of public service, at the end they need to produce a good dramatic show that keeps us watching so I have no doubt that they'll try really hard to have at least one difficult moment with her per episode and it feels icky to watch that.

Also, the big crying emotional parts are uncomfortable for me anyway. Watching this poor woman who has lost her family...that's just...I don't even know. It's a lot of heartbreak in my entertainment. Not saying it shouldn't be there, just not sure I want to watch it. I am dreading trying to watch, I can not imagine how she has actually lived through it.

Ok, I watched. She is just a heartbreaking story.

I am kind of getting over Jillian and all the excessive yelling. Blah blah blah, bark bark bark.

I really liked the person they sent home. I'm so impressed with how much weight she's lost on her own! I wish her partner would have gone home instead. I really dislike the whole "but I have kids!" thing.

Anyone else think the woman who was going to crawl (yeah right) across the finish line was just a wee bit faking for the drama? I like her partner and I hope he hangs in for a while.

Amanda and Rebecca are my favorite team. Mostly because I like Rebecca's hair. Is that wrong?

I forgot the whole reason I wanted to post - they are really going to kill someone one of these days. There is no WAY these people should be going from "can't walk up a flight of stairs" to running in the heat or working out that hard in the gym. I know that if it's not all dramatic and throw up then what are we going to watch, but they are really going to hurt someone. I wonder how many of them leave with injuries every season?

I've always thought along the same lines as Jillian-- if I lost my child, I'll kill myself. I cannot even IMAGINE what this woman has been through. She's amazing.

I'm sick of Jillian yelling, too, mainly because I think she's worse now than she's ever been. We get it, Jillian. You're tough. Thanks.

What about that youth pastor guy? He looks like he's about 16! I felt bad for him when he said, "I don't have Type 2 diabetes." And Dr. H. said, "You DO have Type 2 diabetes." What a shock for him.

I'm not sure I have a favorite group yet. Daniel's a real sweetie, though. He's very supportive to his partner.

I don't watch this regularly, but I did watch the season premiere last night. Mostly because I bought Dr. Huizenga's book a couple of months ago (I should finish reading that). I take it Jillian is always like that? Sheesh. I guess that is TV...but she's a little over the top.

I also feel like someone is going to seriously get hurt. It all just seems so extreme, but I guess that is the point. It does motivate me. Dr. Huizenga's book has you working out twice a day, six days a week -- it's definitely not anywhere near easy.

I love Rebecca's hair too. She's cute.

As to the woman who lost her family, I thought they handled it really well. She put herself on that show, she told that story, no one else. It's not like this is BL's first season and people don't know what it's about. These people are there because they want to be.

I do think Julio should have gone home, I thought the teams that voted for Alexandra voted poorly. I liked her.

I like Coach Mo, the firefighter, Shay, and a couple others. I made fun of Rebecca's hair, I admit it. I thought it looked like a bad wig.

The woman who had to crawl and get help to cross the finish line ended up being transported by helicopter to the hospital. According to the NBC website she had heatstroke. I really don't think she was faking anything.

I went to college with Rudy. He's a total sweetheart IRL and I'm rooting for him.

I love, love Coach Mo, and the firefighter.

At one point when Jillian was yelling at Shay about her story in her head I thought "Way harsh, Jillian" but on the other hand I can see what she means. If you keep letting yourself be the victim, or be vicitmized over and over, will you really be able to move on? I don't know if I expressed that right.

I agree with all of this. I hate it when they vote to keep the slacker because the slacker "needs" to be there. They ALL need to be there. I think it should come down to who wants it more and will work to stay there. Amanda only losing 6 lbs pissed me off. How could a 20 year old work their ass off and only lose 6 lbs?

I like Daniel a lot. He seems so sweet.
