Default My Parents!
Small Brag

As some of you know my Dad had a kidney transplant about 2 1/2 years ago. They have always traveled a lot, but once he was on dialysis (6 years) things became very limited and vacations were pretty much limited to Florida. A dialysis unit down there has an agreement with OHIP to cover treatments, so that's where they went.

Since he has had the transplant they have been traveling quite a bit, Jamaica a few times, Dominican, Cuba and had a trip planned to Italy this fall.

I was talking to my Dad on the phone tonight and asked when they were leaving for Italy. He said they had canceled

I asked if everything was ok and he said "Yeah, we're going to Florida! We've decided to look at some property down there!!!"

I'm so excited for them!!! My Mom spends a month or so down there in the winter with the Canadian Dressage team and they decided it would be nice for her to have their own house and not have to rent, or stay with friends!

So glad they are finally getting their lives back

That's so nice to hear. I'm glad your dad has been enjoying his good health, and they can travel and enjoy themselves again!
That would be easier for your mom, and give them a nice vacation spot of their own.

That's great news! I can only imagine how uncertain things must have felt while your dad was on dialysis. Its so great that he's had a transplant and is doing so well!

And now you'll have a place to vacation in Florida!

I remember very well when you father was waiting for the transplant, and I´m very glad he is doing well!
