I like light-hearted, fun threads that are easy to participate in without getting ripped to shreds for something you say. I never participate in threads regarding politics or an intense race conversation (which seems to be a hot topic lately). The only political topic I am passionate enough about to participate in is gay marriage, and I can't recall much talk on that topic here.

The threads I like best are usually not pertaining to any particular topic. It's the flow of ideas, the banter back and forth, sharing, etc that I like.
The threads I like least are usually the parenting, cooking, cleaning, decorating idea threads.

I don't watch much TV, so I can't really participate in those threads. And, of course, I hate sports, so I ignore those threads as much as possible (aside from the cleverly hidden sports threads that trick me into opening them).
I love politics and human interest. And birth...love the birth stuff.

Having kids is all I can think about lately and I find myself reading the pregnancy/parenting thread even though I don't have kids and am not pregnant, lol!
I was not at all into the 'private grooming' threads (keep it to yourself ladies!) and the race/religion threads get on my nerves a little.

Haha, me too! I love the pregnancy/parenting board but I don't even plan on having kids for a few more years.

I really enjoy the insightful ones that make me think or research something that I wasn't familiar with before. I have also come to enjoy the humorous threads and funny youtube videos because they give me a chance to catch a break.

I like the ones about customs in different countries or different parts of the US, as long as people don't get too upset.
I don't like threads about dog incidents. They never go well. I hate having to lock them.

I like the silly threads. I also like the serious discussions so long as everyone is staying on topic and being polite. When they devolve into 15 pages of circular arguments and rudeness, it's annoying. I also like the parenting threads since I have a young child. I've learned a lot on them.

I like:
relationship threads where the SO is doing something weird or where the couple is not getting along and we have to come up w/ an explanation or solution.
Project Runway threads.
threads about unusual work/interview/office politics situations.
threads where boardies post pics of the inside of their homes.
threads where there is overwhelming concensus that a particular hair or beauty product works great.
I used to love:
race/ethnicity-related threads. But I'm now growing bored of repeating and rereading the same comments and observations from people who understand the issues and the same little interjections from those who remain clueless.
religion threads. But again, the arguments are very repetitive, I rarely find anything in them inspiring anymore and the level of disrespect shown by some is troubling to me.
the "which one should I wear?" threads. But some of the clothing items presented are so dreadfully ugly, I can't bear to participate.
I dislike:
many of the "happy homemaker" type threads.
many of the parenting threads where boardies get so passive-aggressively judgmental about other boardies' parenting styles.
scandalous, "ripped from the headlines" type threads on topics like, "Baby is placed in microwave," "Family of four dies in traffic accident," "student is beaten to death on school playground," etc. Why???
many threads about people's pets. I like animals but these topics rarely interest me...just a personal non-preference.
threads that basically encourage boardies to report, "I look pretty today," "I just got a promotion," "my bf bought me a necklace." Who cares???

I like the controversial threads and relationship ones.
I don't care for but sometimes like the kids and celebrity ones(again usually if they get controversial).
I don't care for the cooking or dog ones at all.
LOL spiderlashes at the what to wear. I wouldn't say they are ugly but usually not my style do I don't care for those either.

I like politics, religion, debates about abortion, gay marriage, etc. Even if I don't participate much, I always learn something new.
Threads about nonsense and happy occasions are fun, too. And I like the ones about current events, since I don't always catch the national/international news.
I don't read the sports threads, most TV show threads, or the ones seeking advice for pets. Sometimes I read the ones about parenting because I wanna know what I'm in for if I ever have a kid.

I love threads with links to stupid or funny websites or youtube videos. I also love most threads about food, pets, cars, tattoos. I love threads with pictures. And I like almost all adult threads.
I'm not very crafty but I like threads that show how crafty you all are.
I am very into politics but don't get involved in discussions much because I get irate too easily. Same with religion, the environment, human/gay/women's rights, etc.
I have no interest in sports and almost no interest in kids, so I rarely even look at those.
