Well, I'm talking to another guy from Indonesia, and once we got past his "please send a pic" and my "hell, no" stage, we're actually having a neat conversation. A site like this certainly does attract a lot of pervy people, though.

ETA: Ignore that. Neat conversation turned back to wanting a pic I won't send. Strangely reminiscent of my Internet dating experience. Though dude's waffling between interesting and stereotypical chatter. It's certainly a time killer.

It was an interesting experiment. I'm sure the kid who came up with it had higher hopes for it -- connecting people from all over the world who otherwise would never meet could be pretty cool, in theory.

One of my professors said the greatest thing about the Internet is that it brings together people with similar interests and ideas -- and the worst thing about the 'net is that brings together people with similar interests in ideas. Pervy folk tend to migrate to stuff like that.
