Unhappy

Change of seasons must be nice.
Remember them fondly.
Moved south in 1969
Have not seen fall colors since.
Snow yes on a few ski trips over the years.
You guys are making me jealous as it is 91 degrees today and I an SICK of it!!

I lived in the high desert of CA for a couple of years. It did get depressing after awhile not being able to watch the seasons change. Every day was brown.

The snow we had melted today. It was nice to watch and listen to actually (it made a hushing noise against the leaves) but I would rather it come next month!

I can't even imagine snow anywhere right now. It is 64 degrees under brilliant, cloudless blue skies here in Nor Cal. It feels more like 72 degrees. I'm not buying 64; I think it's an error.

Just wait til the olympics are over.. Traffic is gonna suck large.. Not even a nexus pass is gonna help wait times at the boarder..

Feb/march is the best time I hear to catch the white stuff.. Even if there isn't snow on the ground in vancouver - go up to Grouse or Whistler.. Grouse is closer to Vancouver smaller but its still beautiful and can easily be done in a day.

It won't be this year - I'm saving up for 3 airfares + accomodation and each time I get close the money is needed elsewhere! It's a long way to Vancouver from where I live hence the high cost. I need to go, I've never met my biological father and I want to before he croaks.

So if you're getting snow early on your side of the pond, I wonder if us curlies in the UK are in for a hard winter? The weather in NY often ends up here, albeit slightly milder/gentler.

That's my very favorite part. I liked to stand outside at night to 'listen' to the snow fall.

I like watching it fall from safely indoors, but I've lived in New England too long -- part of me is always thinking about what a *&^% it's going to be to clean it up.

And I'm sorry, but -- OCTOBER 16? That is just wrong on so many levels. I don't remember ever seeing snow this early.

no snow here, but it's been raining forever. I feel like I must live in seattle and don't know it. I bet we've gotten mulitple inches just today.
