I have no idea what that means even when you substitute the right words. "I got him on at walmart talk about deja vu." Huh?

Hee! The rest of the message is at least made of actual words, even if they don't go together sensibly or have any punctuation.

Did she mean they "got it on" at Walmart (ew) or that she met him at Walmart? (which makes more sense.)
I barely knew her in high school. We had study hall together. She used to go on and on about her boyfriend, Raul. The one picture she had of Raul was torn from a Sears catalog...it was him and his close friends, all of different races, posing.
I'm hoping this boyfriend is actually REAL

Well, that would certainly make a statement. But IRL, don't you have friends who you disagree with politically? I do, and I certainly wouldn't stop being friends with them. I hide people on my news feed who tend to post stuff that I consider to be hateful.

Not liking the President is one thing, but wishing him dead is a different thing altogether.

Thank you! I was going to respond but I couldn't have said it any better than this. My question is, where were these people the 8 years Bush was in office?

Like I said, it's hateful. But would you cut off a friend IRL who said this to you?

I would.
I would call attention to the hate in their words. If they thought they were just being silly and realized how hateful they were being after I called their attention to it, then maybe we could work it out.
But if they were adamant about it, yeah, I would stop hanging out with them.
To be clear: if they merely expressed a dislike of a president, no. But to insinuate that he should DIE? No, I don't want to spend time with people like that.
I disliked George W. Bush, but when people I knew made comments that he should die, I called them on it. I don't even think it happened that often, but sometime during the war protests I ran into people like this.
It would be a turn off for any of my friends to make regular comments about anyone "needing to die" or whatever. Who wants to be around that kind of negativity?

I don't know anyone like this IRL, but I would imagine there would some kind of dialogue before I shut them out. But I don't think this situation would come up, since the kind of people I attract and befriend, aren't people who think like this.
Facebook is an odd place, where people feel bold typing the crap they do because they're hiding behind a computer screen. I don't think anyone would really have the balls to say, "I hope Obama dies," to my face. But if they did, the gloves would come off. I just feel like going through the hassle and drama of unfriending someone on FB is not worth the effort.

Depends on who it is. I unfriended someone because I was tired of reading his right-wing propaganda. (It was a comment about wealth redistribution that pushed me over the edge). I haven't seen this person in 17 years and I barely even remember him... Unfriending him is removing the drama, not adding to it.

privacy settings?
I was editing my settings so only Friends can see my info. I don't know what I did though because now all the info under my name is gone. But, when I view my profile as others see it, it shows up? Any ideas? I even posted on my FB and others have confirmed that my profile is Naked!

I opened a new facebook account. I am trying to become a fan of certain sites. Is that done by clicking the "like" button now? I thought there used to be a link or button that said "become a fan" or something like that. May sound crazy, but in this new account, I don't want any friends; just for getting info that I want from stores, websites, etc.
