I HATE that now when you tag someone in a pic THEIR friends who aren't your friends, can now comment on your pic. Ummmm WTF? No thanks, I don't want random people commenting on my photo just because their friend is in it. I totally think this new time line thing is tooooottalllyy creepy, I foresee me deactivating my profile soon, I just can't with this crap anymore.

That's why I don't do tagging...comments to my friends' posts are enough when their friends can see it, as well...lol

did the person drop you or close/deactivate their account?

i noticed a guy friend of mine who i had just talked to wasn't on fb and a comment he'd put on my pic was gone so my comment in response to his seemed out of place. last we talked he was planning to get engaged so i wanted to check out how he mentioned it on his fb page and maybe see some pics. when i noticed his fb absence i texted him he told me he told himself if/when he ever got engaged he wanted to get off fb. i told him i'd posted pics from my recent performance and he said he saw them but if you search his name isn't there. so i don't get it....maybe he prefers to go into lurker mode.

my friend numbers go up and down periodically, i don't even think about it. i would most likely attribute it to people coming and going on fb (nothing personal). in the case where someone specifically unfriends you and you have no idea why i would say the most likely reason is that you said something that they didn't like, either on their page or yours and rather than discuss it with you they may have decided to just unfriend you. there have been a few people that were fb friends of mine that i thought posted weird stuff or we maybe weren't really friends, so i'd delete them. some people periodically clean house and delete people they rarely or never talk to or have bad energy. i wouldn't worry too much about it.

I have noticed if I post or share a photo, it doesn't show up in my newsfeed, only on my profile. Does that happen to anyone else? When I clicked on share, it gives me the sharing options of my profile, private message, or within a group. Why doesn't it show up in my newsfeed?

Maybe it does for other people? There would be really no reason for you to see it in the news feed, so maybe it doesn't show there?

Is there a way to stop all these shared pics and quotes? If I click on a persons options and just have Most Important, will that maybe be just stuff they actually write?

I have a FB friend from high school that made me want to die of second-hand embarrassment for her.
She seemed to think FB was a dating service. She posted a pic titled "My Boobs" which was of her in a very low-cut top leaning into the camera. She told a guy from high school how she had a crush on him back then which isn't bad, but then proceeded to hit on him with lines like "for a good time, call . . .". He had to tell her he wasn't interested. She would post late-night messages about whether any hot guys were out there.
Well, I guess she finally saw she made herself look terrible and disappeared. She's back now, seemingly calmed down. Now she posts every single thought that comes to her head, tons of videos (this is the bachata dance I want to learn), and a barrage of quotes. Her profile pic, before she changed it, was liked by her.
I think she just doesn't get how FB works.

A friend of mine just posted this on FB, but I don't know how much I show on the sideboards anyway. I've never seen anything about the friend who posted this. Weird.

"Please do me a quick favor: Hover over my name right here. In a few seconds you'll see a box that says "subscribed". Hover over that and then go to "comments and likes" and uncheck it. That will stop my posts and yours to me from showing up on the side bar for everyone to see and limits hackers from invading our profiles. If you repost this, I'll do the same for you. Thank you!"

Basically if you comment on a "public" post, the public can see your response. The way to avoid this is just not respond with something you may regret on a public post. Look for the globe on someone's post to determine if it's for the world to see or not.

I've seen this many times as well, but I just fixed my settings so that my comments and likes and other FB movements do not show up anywhere...I think.

I hate that all my movements may show up in my friends' tickers. I hate that they took away granular control of those types of things. That's why everyone is asking that you disable the ability to see all their comments and likes--but who can count on that? FB really needs to put that control back into the hands of the users or make it more easily accessible.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I have everything on private so I don't worry too much. I think sometimes I show on a page they are on as someone who "likes" it too.

Is there a way to delete multiple pics from an album on the new timeline? I am only finding an option to delete the ablum or individually delete pics.

Does anyone else find their status's are set to a group, in my case, family all the time instead of friends or custom. How do I change it? I've been through the privacy settings but can't change it. It's very annoying.

Did you select a group for a status update? It will default to that, so you need to change it back to everyone (or whatever you're wanting) the next time.

At least I think that's what your asking!
