What's for dinner?

When at Costco, always opt for pizza or a hot dog from the food court! It's only right...

I was fine with pizza, but for some reason he didn't want it. Crazy man. In retrospect I should have just gotten a cheese pizza and I know he would have eaten it.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
Apparently DH and I couldn't agree on what the heck to get even though we were at Costco and it should have been easy to pick SOMETHING quick for when we got home. We ended up fending for ourselves and just scrounging whatever.

On a positive note I got a variety pack of Starbucks hot chocolate that included toasted marshmallow and salted caramel so that will be my dessert tonight.

The soup I was talking about is this stuff in a packet:

Jeep, love the idea of the dumplings and thank you for sharing that cake recipe. Biscoffs! I'm definitely making it with part Biscoffs or the similar ones from Trader Joe's.

And yes, I sure did make the cake with Biscoff. I am in love with those cookies.

I missed that too, hope you feel better soon Wile!!

Mr. Spring has to go out and get me some drugs so I'm going to have him look for the Lipton noodle soup. I feel like unless I get a good dose of sodium and chicken flavor from who knows what source I'll never get better.

ETA I just showed him a picture of what I want and he looks like I've just asked him to go on a quest for the holy grail...total confusion and doubt on his part as to if he can find it. "They carry stuff like that at Walgreens??" haha Gotta love it.

hahaha. Men = doofuses. Tell him they sell Lipton soup EVERYWHERE (at least they do here). I had my leftover soup and dumplings for breakfast. One of the boyfriends brought me homemade beef vegetable soup for my supper tonight. Good boy.

I took a picture of the box on his phone so he can have a reference. There is no telling what he'll come home with, but I told him I didn't want the stuff in a can.

Why is it when you're sick only absolute specific things will do? I also want dumplings in mine so I'll have to make that myself, but all I want to do is stay curled up in my blanket with a Puffs stuck up my nose.

Well, for the first time since Sunday, I will be cooking, which will consist of CP chick and rice w/ veggies. Hopefully, I'll have an appetite...
Feel better spring!
BF was given some acorn squash so I made a savory pie with acorn squash, caramelized onions and a little cheese. I also made split pea soup in the crockpot.
General Tso's and shrimp egg rolls yum!

Jeep, thank you for the idea!

I'm having the soup and I made basil dumplings and added green peas. Since Mr. Spring says green peas are "little surprises of disgusting every time he bites into one" he's having his own bowl of Progresso chicken noodle, but I shared a dumpling with him.

Just what I wanted.

We're the Lipton soup trio!

I went back for seconds. I love a good dumpling.

My mom always made that Lipton soup when I was a kid! I especially remember her making it when I had my wisdom teeth out and couldn't chew but needed some actual food. It's good stuff...so much better than canned stuff!

Well, ended up eating a few mashed taters.
Why is it when making soup, even cutting the recipe, it still makes a lot? lol
Will be having leftovers for a few days...
Wile, it's because soup pots are so big.

I loved that lipton soup when I had morning sickness, definitely comfort food.

Making pizza and wings (heat and serve woohoo) and a big spinach salad tonight. We are entertaining a bunch of kids.

I really like to eat little appetizer foods on NYE and it's just plain fun. I'm making sausage balls and had wanted to do a few other things, but not being able to get to the grocery because I'm sick kind of hindered that. So we're having sausage balls and.....no idea. I'm sure a creative person could look in my pantry/fridge and come up with some things.
