What's for dinner?

I should know by now to never type that far in advance what we're having because that means no doubt it will change. DH got home and thought I'd said we'd have pizza Saturday and do a movie night so I had to come up with something quick for din-din.

Used the chicken tenders for wraps with spinach and had tater tots and onion rings (lest we sound like gluttons I just do a few of each lol )

Tonight is Papa Murphy's, so I'll report back. Jaynee, thanks for the suggestions, I read Raffi's isn't bad and there is also a place in Penngrove I'd like to try. We've tried Mary's Pizza Shack, Mountain Mike's, Domino's (I knew better, but it's so close we figured why not, gross), Little Caesars (gag) and Round Table. I think if you live in a populated place you just sorta need that one go-to place to pick up a pizza!

The amount of time from slipping on the peel and landing on the pavement is exactly one bananosecond.
I do have a secret yen for pink in unexpected places. ~ninja dog
I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
And I'd like to add I'm now craving deviled eggs and chicken and apple salad on a croissant.

Also made roasted veggies with squash, turnips, and tofu, and General Tsao's tofu. And a new fav - turnip latkes. Fantastic low carb alternative to potatoes.

Tacos & mac n cheese
Turtles: omg please don't put that in your moo moo

Nej: too late... moo moo has been infiltrated.
I made my first attempt at chicken marsala. It was surprisingly sweet and I thought, very tasty. I made roasted red potatoes with red onion and red peppers and a salad.

Cheese grits, cornbread, waffles, omelets (onion, potato and tomato w/ cheddar cheese), homefries, and vanilla biscotti coffee.
I wanted to rub the chicken with rosemary for the rotisserie but we're out. And the rosemary bush has been chopped down in order to get rid of the whiteflies

I think I'm going to make cocoa-crusted pork tenderloin with rice and beans as a side dish.

Probably just some leftover roasted potatoes and green beans. I'm so tired, that I can't even think about eating dinner, but my kid needs to eat, so that's kind of important.

We had Papa Murphy's Sat and Sun for dinner and it was pretty good. I think it was better as leftovers! It was no better or worse than any of the other places and the price was great. The toppings were pretty quality stuff for the price so I think we'll order from them again. We got the cheese bread and it was lacking in the cheese dept so I'd probably add more to it if we get it again, but it had good flavor.

Tonight we're having leftover spaghetti and meatballs with Dutch crunch garlic bread and salad.

I think tonight will be tortellini soup. Soup is easiest when we have a lot of comings-and-goings.

Due to my crazy cooking frenzy over the weekend, I have way too much to choose from. Had a heavy meal last night so I think I'll take some of the meatloaf and make a hamburger salad.
I ate way too much last night, way way too many carbs, especially in that piece of cornbread. And that 2nd piece of cornbread. And that 3rd piece. Basically I ate half a pan of cornbread. It was real good cornbread. : )

We are having "enchiladas" tonight. Parentheses necessary because the recipe is some terribly Americanized version with flour tortillas instead of the traditional corn.

Whatever they are though, they are quick and tasty :-)

I wanted fish chowder but I don't have enough of the ingredients. So I'm making a pan seared cod with a thin corn chowder sauce instead.
hello.world.
I've got sourdough rising on the stove and rubbed the chicken with a chicken herb mixture (mccormick probably), marjoram, celery salt, garlic salt. I'm thinking rice with it, not sure if I want something with a bunch of flavor or just butter. Butter sounds pretty good though.

Students chilli (made with peppers, onions, mushrooms, garlic, chilli spice mix, ground beef, can of baked beans and a good squirt if BBQ sauce) with a jacket potato and lashings of sour cream - Delicious although a little sweet

Tommorrow will be baked chicken with a creamy cheese and mushroom sauce and some crispy bacon on top with some sort of potatoe or pasta
Mixture of 2c/3a curls, fine to med texture

Beef in a Bucket (It's a Chicago thing!)

This morning I put in the crock pot:
rump roast
a package of dry Italian seasoning mix
a can of beef broth
a jar of mild banana peppers (I would have used hotter peppers, but my 6 year old wouldn't have touched it if I did)

It cooked for 12 hours and the roast ended up falling apart on its own. It was very tender. I got some nice rolls in the bakery department and mozzarella cheese to make sandwiches.

Not bad if I do say so myself.
