Change of plans for supper. When I got home from work I could see that the Food Fairy (my dad) had been to my house. So I ended up having fresh side pork (uncured bacon) and shrimp cocktail. Weird combo but it hit the spot!

today is National Homemade Soup Day ( Foodimentary | A Food Lover's Notebook).
right now i'm doing a quick soak of some navy beans to make navy bean soup. my baba taught me to make it when i was 7!

Tonight will be homemade sushi rolls (with cooked fish and raw veggies - I am not brave enough to do raw fish at home), steak, broccoli and spinach casserole. I'll also make guacomole for the superbowl festivities.

According to that site the 5th February is World Nutella Day. I can get on board with that. Although I don't have any nutella. Boo 
I'm thinking of making a puff pastry pizza. I have some pastry that needs using.

I made braciole for an early supper. Going to the oddparents to watch the super bowl (well, I will read while others watch the super bowl). I made a ricotta pie with a nut crust. Will also take veggies and homemade blue cheese dressing.

I don't really have any plans for the game this year... So I'm eating tacos tonight with my family, and then going to a friend's house for an anti-super bowl party.  I'm sure this will include snacks!

^ It's basically cheesecake made with ricotta instead of cream cheese.
My dad made that rack for me 37 years ago. It's made out of chicken wire. : )
He also made me a huge gorgeous cutting board at the same time. One day I came home from work and my hubby and his friend were cleaning turkeys in the back yard that they had just brought home from hunting. Yes, they were cutting the heads off turkeys with an axe - ON MY CUTTING BOARD!! And they broke it. Men are dumb. : )

i made chicken paprika and it's really good! the only thing is last week, i tried this super premium 17% butterfat sour cream and i'm using regular 14% with this and it seems so runny...
i have now spoiled myself for life!
