Finger foods for supper tonight. Celery/radishes/asparagus/carrots/peppers with homemade blue cheese dip, sardines in hot sauce, Cougar Gold white cheddar, crackers. And a rum n coke.

We had chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, pinto beans, carrots, and biscuits with butter and homemade grape jelly. The jelly was from my great aunt and uncle. They are farmers and they always give out food for presents to the older kids.

I made a bbq pizza and then proceeded to eat way too much of it.

Saag paneer, vegetarian samosas, rice, and Dr. Pepper. I am thinking a couple oreos for dessert.

We are having these: http://www.mybakingaddiction.com/chi...me-soft-tacos/

I've already been nibbling on the salsa with some chips and it's delicious! Unfortunately our grill is broken so I'll be cooking the shrimp the stove. Should still be tasty though.

Jaynee, that's one of my favorite types of salsa. I can't be left alone with a bowl of it.

We had leftover burgers on brioche buns. I've got to try making some of those, my stepmom made them the exact perfect size for a burger and they're so good. A few tots and rings on the side.

I'll be glad to get out of leftover land tomorrow.

Last night we made homemade chicken pot pies, with bacon fat in the crust and cramini mushrooms. Delicious!

Going out for wings tonight at the Italian Civic Club with the oddparents, sister, cousins, aunt and uncle. It will be loud, smoky, and fun.

It just occurred to me the other day that I've never made homemade mushroom soup. So that's what I'm making tonight.

I'm also making a bunch of mini pizzas (some will go in the freezer). I use low carb light wheat bread and flatten them with rolling pin and use them for crusts. I will make some with sauce, parm cheese, and mushrooms. And some with olive oil, blue cheese, and walnuts.

Having a terribly unimaginative, "ideas for dinner" day -- Will probably pull a frozen dinner out of the freezer or perhaps call for pizza. ?? (But if it helps redeem me, yesterday I cooked up London Broil and veggies!)

DH wants leftover salmon croquettes because, and I quote, "These MF'rs are GOOD! Can we have them again?!?". Never in my life thought I'd hear salmon referred to as MF'rs.

He'll be sad to learn I'm making swamp soup instead with cornbread. It's kind of chilly out and I want some hot soup.

The kids had steak tips and rice and peas.

The grown ups are having salmon and quinoa.
