An unexpected invitation to dinner next door meant I had great food instead of night three of leftovers.
Grilled burgers, one of the best I've ever had
Pasta salad
Baked beans
and homemade ice cream and strawberries for dessert
I want to move in with them.

I'm at a loss. My son has 4 hour play practice every night this week, so I assume I will pick up something fast and easy for him. The rest of us are in-and-out. Do I do fast and easy for everyone, or just my son? Decisions, decisions.

Last night was pimento cheese sandwich that had sharp cheddar, jack cheese, black pepper cheese, and green olives in it. It was super good.

i finely chopped a medium and a small onion and sauteed them in oil olive, then i took the pepper grinder and ground away for a few minutes. in my grinder, i keep a mix of black, pink, white and green peppercorns.
after the onions sweated down, i put in 1/4 cup of 18% cream and 1/2 cup of fresh ground parmesan and pecorino romano.
ta da!
that was it....
i don't know about steak, i can't see peppercorn cream sauce being bad on anything!

Last night the neighbors invited me over (praise the food Gods for my neighbors, they've kept me sane the past couple of weeks) and we had:
Salad
Spaghetti
Sourdough toast
Tonight I had:
Sweet potato puffs
Steamed broccoli
Sweet corn on the cob
Sourdough toast
Lots of S's!!
