What's for dinner?

Hmm well let's see...*opens fridge*....we got some ketchup, some cheese, piece of chicken, cucumber....
You tell me )
Chinese take out. Yummo! This place has such huge servings, we spent $20 and we'll each get dinner at at least one lunch out of it (4+ meals)! We got chicken chow mein and princess prawns.

Pizza it was, Papa Murphy's. I still can't believe how good their pizza is, especially being so cheap.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
SARIA, Have you ever cooked sunflower heads? This recipe was in my La Cucina Italiana magazine this month and it attracted me. I found it online with a nice video explaining how to cut up the sunflowers (better for me than the description in the magazine). Now I wish I would have planted sunflowers this year.

Ham, okra, not sure what else. I bought a small ham...going to cook it today...Kids love ham...so I figured it was an easy doable dinner.
I haven't, Jeepy. I remember as a kid we'd pick at sunflowers and eat parts of them sometimes, though.

Last night we had smoked pulled pork our neighbor brought over (I'm so spoiled on his BBQ, it's the best), coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad.

I'm making gnocci with brown sage butter and spinach. It's rainy and gross here.

I have so much food made for the week I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for - chicken fried rice, breaded chicken cutlets, baked fish with a nut/parm crust, roasted veggies, sauteed romaine, chili salad. Or leftover Indian food that my sis made for dinner last night.

I made soup tonight and it was the MF'n business! So good. I can finally make something without a recipe and it turns out edible. This is huge, y'all.
It had:
Carrot, onion, celery
Sausage
Potatoes
Green beans (from our garden, holla!)
Hominy
Spinach
Cabbage
Tomatoes

And white cornmeal cornbread

My oldest, who has braces, is out of town so we had ribs and corn-on-the-cob.

That soup sounds really good spring! And it cracks me up that you say, "holla!"

Last night we had roasted chicken and a mix of zucchini, yellow squash and pattypan squash (from our CSA). All DH did was cut it up, steam it and add some salt and pepper. It was SO good - and he said he didn't even add any butter!

last night i used my charcoal grill to make a steak - it was a marinating steak and i had put it in red wine vinegar and greek-style-seasoning in a plastic container and left it for 24 hours.

along with it, i had a baked sweet potato, some sauteed mushrooms and a sliced tomato.

mmmmmm.....

I've got some chicken pot pie filling thawing and I'll make some drop biscuits to put that over, maybe roasted green beans on the side.

Present me thanks past me for making extra and freezing it.

^ Drop biscuits! Yum. I get uncontrollable cravings for my grandmothers drop biscuits

Tonight will be a chicken salad sandwich, and... I don't know. I'm not in 'a mood' for extras.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I had a turkey sandwich, Baked Lays Cheddar and Sour Cream chips, and a chocolate brownie with sprinkles!

Jiffy , Yes!!! (I hate the taste I just love making it lol) I had fried chicken and a salad. And for dessert. A gelati
