Awesome dinner if I do say so myself.
Mussels in a saffron garlic broth
Israeli couscous "pilaf" with red onions and red bell pepper
Homemade crusty bread to sop up the broth

Worn out iPhone. Need I say more?

Another first for me. Last night I had Grilled turtle meat. You dip it in rock salt mixed with chili pepper. The meat was tender unlike others I have tried. I like it.

For the meatheads: Lamb-ca-bobs over a bed of shredded lettuce w/ parm cheese, onion powder, salt/pepper, rosemary and minced garlic; garlic red potatoes and grilled asaragus on the side.
For the veghead: I grazed on some fruits, veggies, and almond milk.

Had a hangover induced migraine and bad stomach so I had sauerkraut and pork. Did the trick.

Today, as I made another eight-pound batch of potato gnocchi at work, it occurred to me that it'd be so nice to make myself a batch at home. I love gnocchi of all types! I would love to do some Parisian gnocchi since it's of course made with one of my favorite things to make, but potato or ricotta gnocchi would be great, too, as would Roman (semolina) gnocchi.
So, now I want gnocchi and I can't cook at home. Boo.

My son with the braces is out of town, so we'll have ribs and corn on the cob tonight. Hopefully with a caprese and some kale.

Pan fried breaded zucchini, just picked this morning out of the boyfriend's garden. That's all I had, just zucchini. It was so good.

BBQ chicken taquitos (very loosely based on this recipe)
Pinquito beans
Mexican street corn salad (I used queso fresco cheese)
My only regret was that I made a half recipe of the corn, it's fantastic.

Dinner out on the patio at Wegmans after a long day at the beach - sushi, edamame; a loaf of still warm, crusty campagne bread; a big plate of mixed olives, mozzarella, artichokes, peppers, olive oil; cold Coronas. Mmmm.

Sara, that looks so good!
We had bourbon glazed salmon, which was something my neighbor shared that she gets at Costco to see if we like it. Mr. Spring didn't care for it at all, to the point he didn't even eat it. I liked it ok, definitely wouldn't buy it. I made cilantro lime coconut rice (Mr. S can't stop raving about this, thank goodness he enjoys it as much as I do), and purple hull peas.
I made peach pudding cake for dessert so at least Mr. Spring won't starve.
