Mojo, must be a steak kind of night...

We had steak, baked potato and charred corn salad.

The steak was so buttery perfect I could cut it with my fork and that baked potato was fluffy perfection. I added cherry tomatoes to the Mexican corn salad and it was scrumptious. I took some over to my neighbor and a little later I'm in the kitchen (with the window open) and hear her yell over the fence "Oh my goodness, this stuff is SO GOOD, I need the recipe!!"

Tonight is turkey sausage and spinach soup. It also has a ton of diced onions, some fresh sage, white beans and some orzo in it. Ooooh, and garlic, lots of garlic.

I am getting sick and I wanted homemade soup. Now I shall eat and eat and eat and eat and eat until I fall asleep. I crave sage when I am sick. Is it good for you? Is it because my mom made homemade chicken soup for me as a child?

PS - I was going to make homemade chicken soup but my fridge informed me there was no chicken but there was turkey sausage. YAY!!!

Jaynee, how is the house shopping going?

We had leftover pizza. I still love Papa Murphy's.

Tomorrow night it's BBQ! Earlier today Mr. Spring had me come to the back door and he pointed over to the neighbors backyard and I could see the smoke rising, then I took a deeeeep inhale and oh yeah baby, he had his smoker going! So I crossed my fingers all day that at some point my doorbell would ring with some pulled pork from heaven and amen, it did.

I'll probably make potato salad and deviled eggs to go with it and also have baked beans.

Kangaroo is like very lean beef steak. I need to get some more when the international market is back in town.

Tonight, mushroom risotto

Off to Wegman's tonight for a produce run so supper will be the usual sushi, crusty bread, olives and cheese, and some of my ex's hoagie. And some sort of beer. Probably Corona.
