^ yum

Yesterday I made a pot of sauce with meatballs and sausages. We had that with farfalle pasta.

Boyfriend had it with brown rice instead of pasta BC he's in body building mode.

Tonight will probably be leftovers of that.

I'm thinking tomato and pea soup. It's cool out and I have the stuff for that already at home

I went to get my Empress salted chicken only to find the restaurant closed by 9:30! So I went over to a barbecue place and bought myself a three-meat rice plate ---soy sauce chicken, roast duck, bbq pork, and they provide some Chinese broccoli as well. Next time I'd get just the chicken and pork since duck is often too bony in Chinese restaurants. Turns out I was hungrier than I thought, because I plowed through it and I could have eaten more.

Went to a car/bike show and then a picnic so today's food was mostly pig on a spit, chicken on a spit, and beer. : )

Shrimp and grits from the recipe in Joy of Cooking. So good, but I think I'll modify it a bit next time to make the shrimp less broth-y soup-y.

Jeep, I'll take a big bowl of that soup! Next time Mr. Spring is out of town I'm all over mushroom soup....just hope I remember.

Tonight we had smoked brisket sandwiches and *drum roll please* tater tots!

Our neighbors shared some of their fantastic fall apart so damn delicious brisket with us and even gave me buns for the sandwiches! Have mercy, I'm going to cry when we move.

Tonight we had pulled pork from the crockpot on those little sweet hawaiian rolls, and a green salad on the side. YUM!

Hot turkey sausage rolled into meatballs and elbow macaroni. I'm too lazy to get another pasta shape. I'll add tons of spinach to my bowl.

Had lots of leftovers in the frig so the boyfriend came over to help eat them. Cream of mushroom soup, ham and bean soup, baked chicken roll ups with broccoli and cheese, celery with blue cheese dip, a big just picked tomato with nothing but salt and pepper.

I have leftovers from lunch my coworkers got for me to thank me. Bistec, pernil, empanadas, and a bunch of things that I've never tried before.

Our neighbors gave me a whole smoked chicken that they must have put some of their food crack on because it was awesome. We had the breast from that (picked the rest apart for other meals later this week), roasted sweet potatoes, I boiled some okra for myself and also had rice that I stirred cream of mushroom soup into.

Lasagna but with leek dividing the meat rather than pasta. It's not that easy to eat because the leek goes stringy. Tastes good though.
