Grilled cheese, steamed broccoli, and a clementine cutie orange.

It's my last night cooking like a single girl, hubby finally comes home tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to having a regular cooking routine back...and I don't even like to cook!

Lentil bolognaise (thanks to Saria for the idea) with Orzo pasta.

I'll have the same for lunch tomorrow.

We had a late lunch of leftover turkey, cranberry sauce, and dressing sandwiches so technically I had cake for dinner.

My neighbors mom made this cake that is to die for and I have no idea what it's called, but it's similar to the Italian cream cake my step-mom makes. The cake itself it's so light and fluffy from the egg whites and it has a cream cheese pecan frosting.

Beef sauteed with jalapenos and green beans, stuffed into a pita with velveeta cheese and pressed/toasted in a fry pan. And some cold stuffing. Mmmm.

Warning - some people might find the following not to their palate.

The boyfriend just brought me a fresh deer heart tonite so it will be dinner tomorrow with onions, green peppers, hot peppers, mushrooms. Mmmm. It is my favorite meat without a doubt.

Bear. I did not know it was bear, and if I had I probably wouldn't have tried it. With that said, every ounce of fat had been trimmed off and it was cooked to tender perfection. One of the best meats I have ever had, which surprised me given what I had heard. I went back for seconds. Aside from that I had way too many sides. I am stuffed.

Oh, and I also had a little wild boar. I have had that before. Good, not too gamey, but the bear was better. I am sure I eon't eat it again though. I have not had Bambi since I was tricked into it, even though it's beyond fantastic.

Dinner at the firehall with my sister. For me, their signature sandwich (minus the giant hoagie bun) - beef, chicken, jalapenos, a bit of cheese all thrown on the griddle and some onion petals on top. For sister, 2 kinds of chicken wings and fried green beans.
