The amount of time from slipping on the peel and landing on the pavement is exactly one bananosecond.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
That looks good curlylaura! Their chicken pot pie recipe also looks delish!

I'm having venison and gravy over noodles, peas, pears. Feel the need for some carbs today.

Tonight I'm having lasagna with zucchini strips instead of pasta sheets. It's really good! With spring greens that I think ate collard greens over your side.
Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.

Enchiladas verde using the leftover chili from a few nights ago and Spanish rice. Much better in it's reincarnation.

Spinach, tomato and old cheddar sandwich with German cucumber salad. Sooo Morish!!!!

Spring ~ Do you follow different corn bread recipes, or just add to a basic one? I have a great one, and wondering if I can just add different stuff?

CC, I don't have a tried and true because I keep coming across little variations here and there and always want to try them.

I guess it depends on what you'd want to add, anything specific?

And of course if you have a great basic you've gotta share it with me. I can't ever leave well enough alone and Mr. Spring is always saying "This one is good, can't you just keep making THIS ONE?!"

What I'd like to find is a small cast iron skillet that holds just enough for cornbread for two. Reheated cornbread is not really my favorite and I feel so wasteful throwing it out.

Oh, the cuteness. This is a 4 inch which would be perfect for two servings. I need to get one of these!

Alton Brown can do no wrong!!!!!

Creamed Corn Cornbread Recipe : Alton Brown : Recipes : Food Network

I keep meaning to add jalapenos, but forget until it's in the oven. You seem to add lots of fun stuff though, so was wondering if I could just add it to this recipe. I think cranberry and some sort of nuts would be good!

Love the skillet!

You could definitely add jalapenos to that and maybe some sharp cheddar and regular corn kernels. Nom-nom. Cranberries and nuts would be good too!

I've never made cornbread with creamed corn; the stuff in the can sorta squicks me out. I know it would be good, but it would just be one more thing for me to buy.

I like creamed corn directly out of the can. : )

Today I had sushi for lunch and KFC for dinner. Quite the opposite sides of the healthy spectrum. And both delish. : )

I got spoiled by my grandmothers creamed corn, it was a gazillion levels better than the stuff in the can which sorta reminds me of a mix of dog food and baby food. Her's was made with silver queen white corn and was thick and creamy. Have mercy, it was good.

I have no idea. Nothing sounds appealing.

Last night I made Taco's and I ate nothing but homemade chicken soup when I was feeling under the weather.

Serious eats NY style pizza. It was good, but too much work. I only wish there was good pizza where I lived.
hello.world.
I felt like experimenting so I did baked crab cakes then I put one in a whole wheat tortilla wrap with some lettuce and shredded cheese and added a little ranch dressing and it was oh so good then I had a glass of moscato to wash it down

Last night went out for Mexican with the boyfriend and his sons. They are all so uncivilized and talk loudly about totally inappropriate meal topics. Loads of laughs. : )

Tonight I'm cooking steaks, haluski, and garlic bread.
