This was the deep dish and I should have known better. Never again!
If I was going to make a splurge buy I should have at least gotten something involving a vegetable. I couldn't even eat it and the rest is going in the trash. I hate wasting food. I've had their regular pizza before and it's just fine, but Papa Murphy's is still our favorite.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

We're having sloppy joes. I fed Mr B some fish last night, and you'd have thought I was trying to kill him, so he's quite pleased that we're having one of his favorites tonight.

After last nights horrid pizza incident I'm hoping tonight's dinner will go better.
Balsamic marinated grilled pork chops
Roasted butternut squash or maybe something with this baby romanesco I got today, which I've never had before
Rice, maybe?
As you can see I'm quite decisive.
Mr. Spring keeps requesting lettuce wraps, I think I've created a monster.

Is Mr B the long lost twin of Mr K? The last time I tried to make fish for dinner, you would have thought I was serving him his own leg. Way to go Mr Dad. Your children will never learn to try new things that way.
AND Mr K loves sloppy joes. Yuk, not my thing, but do I eat them when he makes them, yes, I do.

Pizza.
There is a now place opened between Mr K's work and home that claims to have true NY pizza. We're trying it tonight. Isn't that romantic? Eh, who cares! I won't have to cook it, hopefully it will be tasty, and we'll use paper plates, so no washing dishes (or harassing the teens to wash them )

Being single on Valentine's Day...I bought a couple of lobster tails. I'm having lobster tails and champagne. Strawberries for dessert of course!

KK, that's so funny! What is it with these guys and fish? God forbid they should eat something that's actually good for them. It's probably been at least a year since I made sloppy joes. My family never ate them when I was growing up, and I've never been particularly impressed with any of the recipes I've tried before. Today I looked up a bunch of different recipes online and tried one by Rachel Ray - it was really good! Nice balance of sweet and tangy and spicy. Mr B & I don't do Valentine's stuff, so he was really happy with this. Hope your pizza is good!

Exactly! Yet he CLAIMS he eats well. Um, yeah, meaning he only eats the same, boring things. There are only so many ways I can cook chicken breasts! I'm going to look for the RR sloppy joe recipe, and tell him that's the only one I'm willing to eat next time. We'll see how that goes over. He likes that horrid 'manwich' crap.

Oh, dear lord, I refuse to even buy that. *shudder* I think you're right, they are twins separated at birth! The only thing I did differently to RR's recipe was that I only had one 8 oz can of tomato sauce (the recipe calls for 2 cups) and no tomato paste, so I used the tomato sauce I had and added some ketchup but not a whole cup. It was probably between a quarter and a half cup. Then I added just a bit more red wine vinegar and worcestershire to make up for the additional sweetness of the ketchup. I think I'd make them the same way next time. Two whole cups of tomato sauce seems like it would make them way too runny.

My Mr. LOVES Sloppy Joe's as well, they must be triplets. If I make that and tater tots you'd think he's died and gone straight to trashy food heaven.
I've tried several different recipes and still haven't settled on one, I'll have to give the RRR a try too.
He will, however, eat fish without much complaint which is nothing short of a miracle considering how picky he can be.
