Mr. Spring even tried a mushroom, bless his heart.

The amount of time from slipping on the peel and landing on the pavement is exactly one bananosecond.
I do have a secret yen for pink in unexpected places. ~ninja dog
I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

At least he gives it a try again occasionally. I was eating mine going on and on about how good the mushrooms were and at least he gave it another shot. Still hates them.

Last night we made homemade pizza. DH made the dough earlier in the week and I topped it with roasted garlic, mozerella, ricotta, broccoli florets, and some basil ribbons. It was gooood!

Trying out steaming!
I had kind of a late lunch and was so stuffed I didn't have dinner, but it was excellent.

I went to a local bakery/cafe & shared sandwiches with a friend and had half a 'Farmwich' which was cucumber, Swiss cheese, avocado, romaine, olive tapenade on their homemade seeded wheat pullman bread (so freakin' fantastic). The other half sandwich I had was chicken salad with onion confit, aioli, currants, toasted almonds on white bread. They were both so good I can't even pick which one was my favorite.

Jaynee, I think you and I always, always need to post the name of the place just so we don't have to ask because I always want to know. Where are you trying tonight?

It was Della Fattoria in Petaluma.

I don't know if you've ever been there, but the food was excellent! I can say the service was slightly lacking though. It's a teensy tiny place and we had to wait ages for a table and although the staff was nice in letting us know that they'd make sure we got the next table, it took forever to get our sandwiches and they only checked on us one time while we ate. She did apologize when she brought the check, but that didn't change the fact that I was thirsty.

Tonight I'm going to Jackson's Bar and Oven. Yelp reviews are decent and the menu looks pretty good, but small. Jackson's Bar and Oven

I could be wrong, but I think the menu at Della is more limited on the weekend. I'd definitely give it a try if you're not in a hurry to get anywhere. You may even be able to order it to go and just sit in that little courtyard near it if it's a nice day out and the wait is long.

Jackson's looks good! That Cubano Stuffed Flatbread is calling me, but *ouch* at $16!! Do report back on what you had and how you liked the place.

At that price, I'd rather go to Flavor in Santa Rosa which is fabulous and has about the same prices.

Oh my word, the Flavor menu looks great. The next time I spend the day with my neighbor and her mom I'm suggesting we go there for lunch.

Currently trying to convince Mr. Spring we need to go there for breakfast tomorrow. I'm trying to reel him in with eggs Benedict, we'll see how it goes.
