I'm feeling slightly under the weather so I had homemade chicken soup for dinner BUT I was just handed some ribs. That is what I am having for my second dinner.
I'm a Hobbit tonight.

There is a beef roast in the slow cooker that has been torturing me with a delicious smell all day. We'll have roasted carrots and mashed potatoes with it.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

It's a totally bad for you pot roast. But I made it a few months ago because I just wanted to dump some stuff in the slow cooker and ignore it all day and when we had it that night Mr. Spring raved about it like no pot roast I'd ever made before. Figures, since it's got totally horrible stuff in it.
Slice up an onion into half rings, put half in bottom of slow cooker. Put roast on top. Sprinkle half a packet of Good Seasons Italian dressing mix on top of roast, flip it over and sprinkle the rest on, rubbing it in. Pour in one bottle of Johnny's French Dip concentrate (do NOT read the ingredients list, I repeat, do NOT), add in water to barely cover the roast, put rest of sliced onions on top. I usually cook it for an hour or so on high then put it on low for the rest of the day until it's done.

....so when I go to a grocery store, and I go in the meat section....does a roast say Roast? LOL. I don't buy meat and when I do its usually chicken and I secretly hate chicken. Exept once I had bbq chicken pizza, it was amazing.

BBQ pizza of any kind is awesome, that's what we're having tomorrow night with some smoked pork.
I usually buy a boneless beef chuck roast, this one was about 3lbs but if they have one a little bigger that will work too. I like leftovahs!

Red wine & kitchen sink salad.
If I wasn't so tired and worried about coming home to a driveway needing to be shoveled, I totally would have stopped for poutine!

Panang curry
Crispy corn cakes
Basil chicken
Hopefully it's good

How I hated KD as a kid!!! When I was on the ship, my Mom sent easy mac as a joke, and we were addicted to it after the bar! That and fresh cooked rolls stolen from room service....it was like crack!!!
I'm back to not liking it, but a store here (PC for the Canadians) has a white cheddar that I get the craziest cravings for a few times a year. One night I drove to three stores to find it
I was watching a show with this local chef the other day and the host asked him what his favorite crap meal was. He said KD
Chef Massino

I managed the jewelery shop on a cruise ship (well, various ships) for a little over 5 years!

8-10 months a year!
Brilliant experience! I suggest it to every young adult that isn't sure what to do with their life

Did you make a decent amount of money?
I have no idea what to do with my life, and the other day I was just thinking I really wanna travel and go places...WHAT BETTER WAY THAN ON A BOAT....although I'm not sure if I get sea sick or not. I haven't been on a large boat in years. I've never been on a cruise ship, I've been on a tour boat around NY it was large, and a pontoon. That's about it...other than kayaking.

Don't do it for the money!
I made enough to never want for anything while on board (tons of shopping while in port!) and very comfortably get through 3 months vacation with a fair amount of travel a year, but you're not going to come out way ahead or anything. I did pay off quite a bit of credit card dept my first contract, but after that I spent a lot on stuff on shore. My first world cruise I assumed I would never see those places again, so did everything I could. Then did another where we spent a 4 days to a week in all the major cities we hit, so spent lots on hotels and tours.
Brill way to meet people and see the world though. You have no bills, you pay $1/day to the person that cleans your room, other then that you could save everything if you liked.
It's like a non stop party for the crew (think the staff area in Dirty Dancing. We called it Dirty Dancing syndrome when passengers would try ad sneak down to crew area) and you make some of the most unbelievable friendships. I went to a friends wedding in Italy a few years ago, and this may there are about 10 of us (from Australia, England, South Africa & the States) spending a week in Vancouver. I actually just spent the last hour texting with a guy I worked with 7 years or so ago in Alaska.
I've had a wee bit of wine and will keep babbling forever, so will stop now. But if you have any other questions, feel free! It was a fantastic experience and I love sharing it
