What's for dinner?

^ Food for days! It is very thoughtful of people. Even if you don't quite feel like eating at first, you will at some point, and it's all taken care of.

I am getting a to go order tonight. I normally make my own tuna salad sandwich but one restaurant in town makes a fantastic one on fresh baked wheat bread. The salad itself is basic but they load sprouts and other veggies on the sandwich. Really tasty, especially if you pair it with their blue corn chips and spicy spinach artichoke dip.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Since the bestie is now on a gluten free diet to see if it helps his headaches, sick to death of the gluten free foods he has been trying from the store, and in the mood for veggies, I made a huge salad. I cooked a couple chicken breasts, chopped them up, and tossed them in. I also made a simple olive oil & lemon dressing and have my some Hidden Valley Ranch that's supposed to be gluten free.

Thank goodness Snickers are GF. It wouldn't be a movie night without some snickers bars.

Hamburger foil packet meals with lots of veggies, on the grill. Chips and salsa. Fudge babies for dessert.
I don't know all that much about what has gluten in it but I eat low carb and many of those recipes say they are gluten free. So fudge babies might be gluten free and are sweet and fun to make (dates, walnuts, cocoa powder, vanilla, salt)

Mississippi Roast!!
^ I had to look that up. Most of the pics seemed to show a stick of butter, dry ranch dressing, and lots of pepperoncini peppers. Looks delish.

Mmm. Something grilled sounds delicious. I'd love to have some kabobs. Maybe tomorrow

I made really, really good spaghetti (sauce) w/ meatballs last night. And I will be having it again tonight. It sounds pretty basic but these meatballs are outta this world! I also have Italian bread and mozzarella cheese to make a meatball sandwich.

Roasted cherry tomatoes, 1 small potato, a little bell pepper, zucchini, asparagus and squash. Cool and refreshing cucumber wedges (though good cucumbers are hard to find right now), and corn on the cob. After that, strawberries. It's been so muggy the past two days thanks to the storms and I wanted fruits & veggies.

I am picking up something from the restaurant where my bestie works tonight. He is going to make sure it's ready to roll, but I have not decided what I want yet. Pasta Pesto with Tofu. Black Bean Salad.... Something that will transport well and not be bad if it cools a little by the time I get home.

By the sound of things I may as well get something while I can. I think the new owners are bent on running it into the ground. It's a shame. They have added several good things to the menu. Organic/antibiotic & hormone free meats, expanded on the speciality diet foods, all kinds of stuff. They just seem more interested in getting messed up and closing to get hammered. My friend is often the only sober one working.

Looking forward to going out to eat tonight with my sister at a local biker bar for all-you-can-eat crab legs. I'm starving.

That sounds much better than the egg, bacon & cheese sandwich I had, even though it hit the spot.
