Dinner at the firehall with my sister. Various flavors of chicken wings and some delicious clam chowda. And a rum and diet.

I served pizza lunch at school today. 71 kids are gone this week for an extra-extended spring break, so we will be having pizza for dinner today. Everyone who worked brought home 2 pizzas, and we still donated 20.

Man, I could go for some pizza!
I think leftover black bean soup then the rest goes in the freezer. Then I have to come up with something else to cook later this week based on what I have on hand. Will I ever get this pantry emptied?

I haven't decided yet what's for dinner. I find it hard to get motivated on Mondays.

Back on my strict diet to finish getting ready for bathing suit weather. So tonite will be szechwan chicken and cabbage stew. And maybe a baked apple for dessert/snack.

Now I'm leaning toward graham cracker pancakes and scrambled eggs. Darn internet and all these recipes!

Graham cracker pancakes
I haven't tried them before so no idea if they're good, just sounded interesting!

Well, make some and report back, and in the meantime I will try to get out to Delano for some of that maple syrup!

They were pretty good. A hint of graham, maybe a tad too much cinnamon (this comes from a cinnamon freak) because it overpowered the graham a little. As a vehicle for maple syrup, a tasty meal!
Curlysue that looks really good!

It did come out good but the rice was bland. If you mix it together it wasn't too bad. Boy I made a mess out of the chicken though! I'm not much of a roller.

I've never made a rolled chicken recipe that wasn't a mess. I think it's supposed to be that way, right?
I cut that pancake recipe in half and still got 11 pancakes from it!
My favorite pancake recipe is still cinnamon bun pancakes and maple butter icing. YUM.

Curlysue, you'd need about 1/2 tbsp salt for that much rice and orzo, unless you had salty broth. Then maybe 1/2 tsp. Not adding it would leave it bland. The rice should also be toasted in the butter, not just the orzo. I'd probably do 4 tbsp butter too for that quantity. Finish with lots of chopped parsley.
I meant to take a photo of the buns stuffed with kofte and the accompaniments but didn't get to it.
