Mussels!!
BTW, I went out for mussels on Tuesday and plan to use a giftcard I have for this weekend and try a local seafood market/restaurant's version.
I'm attempting them soon...I promise.

Ohhhh, that sounds so delicous, my mouth is watering! Tonight's dinner is rotisserie chicken, spinach salad with red onion and cherry tomatoes, and garlic bread.

Crab legs poached in butter and CSA salad/veggies. I'm ready to eat already!

I wish I grilled today but my hubby has been begging me to make this recipe I found for braised short ribs over pasta.

Bologna/swiss cheese sandwich. On white bread. Saria probably just fainted.

I like bologna! I like mortadella more, but still, I like bologna. And white bread (not mushy Wonderbread white though). Not crazy about Swiss unless it's melted. But I do love a good sandwich. You know what's good? Ham on buttered crusty rolls. Man, I can pack those away like nobody's business! I feel very French when I eat them, too.

Saria's rice made me drool. Mmm mmm mmm.
I made hamburger salad tonite (ground black angus, romaine, onion, tomato, and a bit of ketchup). It hit the spot.
I also made 2 kinds of chicken sausage tonite - sage ginger and hot Italian - and will let them age in the fridge and have them for supper tomorrow or Saturday.

Tonight we are part of a group hosting a fish fry, so there will be pan-fried panko fish, baby potatoes, veggie salad and crusty rolls. I am in charge of desserts: angel food cake, MnM cookies, ginger creams and oatmeal cupcakes with coconut frosting. Since it's going to snow tonight (grr), I decided to skip the typical springtime fare of lemon bars and brownies.

My daughter and I were out from 8am to 8pm yesterday. I had a McD Southwest salad with no chicken. It was pretty decent (for an emergency) with the corn, black beans, and lime.

It was not Wonderbread-promise A couple of months ago I had some great rolls and I had some leftover baked ham-I had little ham sandwiches with spicy mustard for breakfast that week! YUM.

Saria those mussels look divine!! There is a restaurant on the seacoast in NH that has the BEST mussels and I always have to get them when we go there. I eat them all by myself (SO does not like them so it works out perfectly )
And that rice-get out!! Looks so good.

Tonight was ginger lime shrimp and noodles and a french roll.
The freezer contents are dwindling, but the pantry items still seem to be in abundance. I hope I can use it all up before we move!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Thanks, xcptnl! You've got a good arrangement going there with your SO.
I swear the best part of having ham is leftovers for ham sandwiches. Those rolls sound great.
Spring, I only have spelt flour left to use up in terms of my wholegrain flours, so I've gotten somewhere in my quest to use what I have on hand. I am kinda sad that I finished the rye today, though. I could go for another loaf of black pepper rye.

I still can't figure out why I bought 5lbs of flour and sugar at the grocery store earlier this week. Seriously? Habits are hard to break and lawcy mercy I can't run out of flour and sugar!
I really need to make a list of what I've got left and plan some meals, I've just never been good at making stuff up.
