But jeepy, surely you could appreciate the merits of SPAM musubi, no?

And admit it, the Korean and also Hawaiian dish of SPAM-fried rice with a fried egg on top sounds pretty good, too. Korean SPAM and kimchi fried rice! SPAM and shrimp fried rice! Hawaiian-style with bits of pineapple! SPAM!

I'd eat some spam in fried rice, all that salty flavor.

Mom used to make me fried spamwiches. I miss being a kid.

I don't dislike Spam at all. I like anything in fried rice.
I don't know what masubi is but I'll eat most anything.

Spam is indeed very salty, I used to love it as a kid.2 years ago my bf wanted me to fry some spam to put with mangu, I had a piece and it was super duper salty! I was not a fan.

I want something with shrimp tonight.

I like the looks of the SE ones though, with it in between two layers of rice.

I don't know what dinner will be. Maybe some sardines on the black bread I made. But dessert is rice pudding! I flavored it with vanilla bean, cardamom, lemon zest, bay leaf, and just a bit of saffron. It is goooooood! Waiting for it to cool since I like it cold.

The kiddos are having turkey burgers, organic tater tots, ketchup, broccoli with muenster sauce. Costco to the rescue.

For me. Maybe an orange and some pastis.

Hubby can graze.

I'm not sure what it is. It could be either beef bolognaise or beef chilli. I won't know until it's in the pan. I must really write on the freezer bags next time.

Edit: turns out it's beef bolognaise.

Please excuse errors, I'm psoting on my phone

Just pulled some vegetable beef stew from the freezer and will probably put it over some rice.

Beer brats! Even though it's not even a little summer-like outside, I feel compelled to pretend.

I just put lasagne in the oven. I found these wonderful fresh lasagne noodles at a local 'higher-end' grocery store that I LOVE. They are full sheets so they fit perfectly in my pan. I tried them about a month ago and SO and I both loved them so I picked some up again today. Oh, and a tossed salad.

Went to a habachi place, had shrimp with fried rice, noodles, veggies, and salad. I was so proud of myself for being able to pick up a piece of shrimp with chop sticks, I had to take a pic. It took me 20 min to be able to do it though.

Yay!!! I learned to use chopsticks when I went to a restaurant that didn't have silverware! It was chopsticks or starve.

I felt really stupid that I just couldn't get it, I was so frustrated but my friends wouldn't let me quit. I sort of got the hang of it, but I couldn't eat rice with it, luckily they gave us forks.

I think it's easier to eat sticky rice than our long grain rice. Nothing to feel ashamed about, I think being able to use chopsticks takes a decent amount of practice There was an episode of Criminal Minds where Spencer couldn't use them and he's a genius. It's a TV show but still art imitates life.

For dinner: Baked Chicken, Baked Potato with cheese and carrot sticks. I haven't made Sunday dinner in about 3 plus months. Happy Sunday to me

I guess I am cooking a ham (despite the fact that I don't eat red meat and am seriously trying to eat mostly vegetarian again. Kids and SO requested it. SO wants it boiled with cabbage and potatoes but that sounds so unappealing and I doubt the kids would like it so I will likely make an orange/ apricot glaze and roast some cabbage and potatoes (and maybe carrots) in the pan.

I have artichokes and asparagus and peas so I will likely make some kind of pasta... thinking of making something pesto- ey with the peas.

For the kids I am making this bunny bread and I made jello layers... because they are pretty and because hey, kids like jello

I am also making those easter egg cake ball things... I'm using the vanilla butter cake recipe I made for Aidan's birthday last year and I made some fake buttercream (you know, the kind with fluff)
