What's for dinner?

I've got some leftover ribeye steak I need to reinvent to feed two. I'm thinking a quesadilla since I have the stuff for that, but I've got no sides and ask me if I feel like going to the grocery.

The amount of time from slipping on the peel and landing on the pavement is exactly one bananosecond.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
You must have something!

If you truly have no nothing, why don't you make steak and eggs and have breakfast for dinner? You can make biscuits, hash browns or cheesy grits.
Steak-fried rice or noodles?
Steak hash?

Ya know, maybe steak fried rice would be a better choice. I have some few-days-old rice in the fridge I made for fried rice to go with sweet and sour chicken I was going to make, but the steak fried rice makes more sense. Plus I've got broccoli and snow peas to go in it so a big bowl of that should fill DH up no problem.

I was never good at coming up with meal ideas with leftovers, my mom has that gift though.

Thanks Saria. I'll consult with you from now on. Although with your biscuit mention now I'm craving biscuits and sausage gravy; I better add sausage to my grocery list.

Oh, glad I could help!
Make coconut rice or simple steamed rice with some sesame oil and sesame seeds and scallion for your sweet and sour chicken!
I've never made coconut rice, but I think I would love it.

Lots of ways to make it, and I like them all, but the basic way we make it in the DR is to cook as we do white rice all the time, but replace half the water with coconut milk. It's best not steaming hot, but cooled down a little till warm so you can taste the coconut more.

Had a great late lunch w/ mom & dad...complete w/ fajitas & rita on the rocks w/ sangria.
So dinner was leftovers, of which I never ate.
And, of course, the little one what to know what I was cooking...go figure..lol
Off tonite, but prolly Quizno's and Mickey Ds for the rugrat...
Tom and Friday will be prolly pork chops and mashed taters or salad and the other day will possibly be a hambuggie dish or Italian dish...
I got out of McD for the birthday by her dad's insistence to take her on Friday! After birthday cupcakes, candy, and Rita's Italian Ice, it was certainly not a needed treat.

I had a flatbread buffalo style pizza with mushrooms, spinach, scallions and fresh basil.

Starting strict sugar free, low carb eating for the next month so my dinners will sound dull and repetitive. But I use plenty of herbs and flavoring, homemade broths, good sea salts and fresh ground pepper so I find it enjoyable. I really do like eating this way a few times a year (makes me feel energetic and light).

Tonite will be shrimp and pesto (low carb low fat pesto so basically fresh basil, garlic, salt, pepper) over cabbage noodles cooked in herb/veggie broth. Dessert will probably be a baked apple.

Tonite will be Buffalo chicken and mandarin oranges over Italian slaw (chopped cabbage marinated in homemade Italian dressing overnight).

We are having pork chops. But I want pierogies. Fried. In butter. I love that I can get fresh pierogi locally.

We munched on tortilla chips and mango salsa and then I made turkey burger sliders (my kids love the tiny burger buns) with all the fixins. I served salad and apple slices on the side. Gotta love kid friendly meals

Italian meat sauce over pasta is simmering for dinner.

This is the first time I've had enough tomatoes from my garden to make my own sauce!

Going to make banana bread for dessert.
