Oatmeal (made with water), scoop protein powder, topped with blueberries. Plus the always necessary cup of coffee.

Kinda funny that today happens to be National Oatmeal Day and I had decided to have some for breakfast.

Oatmeal, poached quince and some of the poaching liquid mixed with maple syrup. A touch of cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon to finish.

So far, just coffee.

I want waffles, but we have no milk! I have some breakfast burritos I made a big batch of in the freezer so maybe we'll have that.

Baked pumpkin oatmeal sounds good, but no milk!!! I need a cow.

You can make waffles with sour cream or yogurt. Heck, you could make them with water.
Can make oatmeal with water and top with yogurt, especially one with pumpkin.
I've actually been thinking of making pumpkin and coconut oatmeal. I love coconut milk with pumpkin and sweet potatoes. Some chai spices would be good. Maybe I'll get around to making this one up soon.

Well, I have water out of those three options. Yes, a trip to the grocery is in order today.

The waffle recipe is so perfect I feel I'd be committing a crime changing it at all. Have you tried WIG's? Waffles of Insane Greatness, the recipe has been floating around. Except for yeasted waffles, no other waffle exists for me now.

I'm having Italian bread still warm from the store, some goulash, and halloween cookies just out of the oven (getting ready for a party tonite so I'm 'sampling' the goods. : )

I haven't tried it, but a waffle calling for oil instead of butter is dubious at best.
