Default question about when to put in products

Being that we're normal porosity, that means that water has a slight battle getting into our hair, right? So for us with this type of hair, is it best to put leave in and gels into soaking wet hair, or after it's been blotted. . . just wondering!

I've got similar texture/porosity to yours and I've found through experimentation that putting the LI and gel into soaking wet hair works much better for me than after blotting. I put both in while still in the shower, do a modified scrunch/pump then plop into a t-shirt for about 5 minutes while I dry off and do the rest of my after-shower routine. Then remove the plop, clip, then air dry/diffuse.

I've found that when I blotted first I had to use a TON more product.

Thanks, that really helps me A LOT. because I lose confidence in what I'm doing. I found I really have to make sure I work that gel on the underside of my hair as well, because otherwise I get frizz around the curls/ringlets. Also, for me combing after I get it all helps, to get those lazy hairs in their correct clump. Don't know if you find this. But after you plop, you don't add more gel, then, huh??
