Yes, I suspect she is, even though she laughs at me as I fan myself madly when we skype!

Well, after months of nothing there was that knock on my door.
It lasted for 7 long days!
Hoping it will lay off for the rest of the summer. I have a vacation to plan!
It's not easy being a princess, but hey, if the crown fits.

That's what I'm hoping doesn't happen to me.

Well, I can honestly say I think I am shedding about only half as much as before. That's a benefit!
Well, after nine months I appear to be having a period. Blergh.
My hot flushes had disappeared over the last couple of weeks and my boobs were sore, I was desperately hoping I wasn't going to get a period, but no such luck. Hope it's not hideous.

well, it may be the last one before menopause. i had something similar happen to me -- 6 months without one, then one more, then menopause. you are definitely on your way, tho!

Sorry if TMI --
Updating from my earlier post. The new bc pill that my GYN put me on didn't make my ovarian cysts go away, nor did it bring on a period. I again had several excruciatingly painful days in August and knew it was the cyst acting up. Went back to doc, did ultrasound (no change in either of the cysts -- the demon one was 4cm back in December and measured same in August), and laparoscopic surgery. Removed an ovary due to complex cyst with twisted ovary and both fallopian tubes (one had to be removed with the bad ovary and I asked him to just tie/remove the other as long as he was going to be in that neighborhood anyway). I'm at 10 months now since my last period. Immediately after my surgery, I noticed that I am warmer during the day than before and I go through a few cycles of too warm/too cold each night. My sleep time is disrupted and I wake up at about 4am ready to roll! LOL After I'm totally healed and off antibiotic (had allergic reaction to surgical glue, sutures, or both, which led to infection), I may look into herbal remedies for nighttime hot flashes. I am hoping that I will do better with sleep after the incisions heal completely, which might be mid-November-ish.

^ Sorry for you issues Spiralli! A sorry for you others who are having "sneak attack" periods.

After 6 months without anything I had a few days with some very very minor bleeding last week. No other issues.
My fibroids cause pain once in awhile but I refuse to spend a couple grand to find out if they are getting bigger. At least not until they really cause some major symptoms.

rbb - I hope that's what it is. I think the unpredictability of the whole thing just adds to the frustration, you never quite know what's going on, or likely to happen next.

Spiralli - I'm sorry you're going through all of that, especially at a time when the 'normal' things are bad enough. Sending healing vibes your way.

jeep - I hope this is just a little minor thing too. Glad to hear your awful fortnightly periods didn't reappear.

Well, it turned out to be virtually nothing so not sure what's going on. Hot flushes are back so 'normal' service resumed for now.

Ugh, after 6.5 month with nothing other than a couple days of spotting, I'm in the middle of a full blown period. 4 days and counting of heavy bleeding. Grrr. It's putting me n a super bad mood.

ugh -- i can relate. but i can also offer hope in that the year before i went into menopause that is what happened to me. nothing, then 6 months later a period. then that was it. hopefully it will be same for you.

Oh I hope so! If they start happening every 2 or 3 weeks again I'm jumping off a bridge. : )
