Unruly Eyebrows, what works for you?

I have some unruly eyebrow hairs that stick out at the beginning of one of my eyebrows. Been googling and researching what to do. I have no experience with gels and waxes but from what I've read gels won't hold the hair down and I should use a wax.

I have also read people use a hair (hair on your head) gel or hairspray...

I can't afford to spend $20 plus on a wax. So looking for a less expensive wax.

What works for you? Gels, waxes, etc...
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you!!!

Edited to add: Trimming is not an issue for me. I'm looking for something clear that doesn't flake or is noticeable...

Mostly: Wen Cleansing Conditioner: Lavendar & Tea Tree

Occasionally: DevaCurl No-Poo, One Condition, & Angel; KCCC, KCKT & KCCC
Last Dye 1/4/12; Started Curlygirl Method 6/2012; Final cut to remove dye 3/30/13

Hi I read somewhere that moustache wax helps.

Sent from my SCH-I535 using CurlTalk App
I've read that too.^

Maybe a waxy hair product, like Jonathan's "Dirt" texture paste? No shine.

I've had a combo pencil like this one (wax, color, brush) for many years and it works great.

And I think any hair gel would work on brows. It's just hair after all.

NYX makes an eyebrow shaping wax in a pencil form that is amazing. I used it on my wedding day and my brows held in place until I washed my face - which was about 18 hours later

It's relatively inexpensive too, about $9:
