Retin-A face cream made my hair straighten

Anyone else prescribed face cream called Treninoin? It has made my hair straighten. Wondering if my curls will come back. The pattern of straightening is from my bangs back to almost my crown in a very thin strip. I read in some other forums that this prescription changed texture and hair growth and seems to be the only logical answer to my 3a curls to change at age 44. Help....
I had never heard of this before. I just starting using retin a & now I'm worried.
From Michael Berg:

Every person has a unique connection to the Creator that can never be extinguished, and every person has a great soul that can manifest important things in our world. To make a person feel less than they are because of something inside themselves, be it faith, race, or sexual orientation, is the greatest sin of all."
I've been using tretinoin for almost a year with no changes in my curl pattern. I also never saw anything like that mentioned over on MUA (the skincare board is very fond of tretinoin).

i've used tretinoin for over a year, but not every day. It as no effect whatsoever on my curls. I can't imagine that it would affect them unless you rubbed it into your scalp (don't do that!). Is it getting onto your scalp or hair?

Retin-A has been around for many years. It's also available in less potent form in many over the counter products as retinol. Anything is possible but I doubt that this is what is affecting your curl pattern unless it is directly getting onto your scalp or hair.

Highly porous. Color over grey.
I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....

Is Retin-A the acne drug that caused birth defects?

No connection to Retin-A which also requires a prescription but side effects are mostly mild - skin can get irritated, especially when you begin using it. I use it every few days, not every day, so my skin doesn't get irritated.

I have used Retin-A for about 30 years. I have never heard of it straightening anyone's hair. Nor has it straightened my hair. Sounds like it's probably a coincidence. Perhaps your straightening curls are a result of peri-menopause?
