oh, geez, this time i actually did flirt with G - he has to pack up and move his office this week instead of next week. but tomorrow i have to help the director with some stuff while his admin is away and said so.

his response...

"sure, sure , put John before me."

before i could even THINK about what i was saying i came out with

"oh G, you know you'll always be first in my heart. everyone knows my heart belongs to Corp Tax."

Sounds like things are looking up!

I met my boyfriend online at Match.com, and even though he's close to a year older than me (I just turned 45, and he's almost 46), he's soooo cute, and looks younger than his age. It's one of those deals where when I show off his picture, whatever woman I'm showing it to lets out a yell, "OMIGOD, HE'S SO CUTE!!"

But more than that, he's unbelievably sweet, and treats me like gold, which is the most important part.

I know online dating is rough - I used to get a lot of "Grandpas" replying to me. You know - gray comb-over, plaid shorts, black socks. In their profiles, their idea of fun is "tossing around the softball with my grandkids on a Saturday!" I mean, I'm not a wild woman, but... no.

And I waded through a lot of jerks before I met my guy. One guy who, when I got there, I realized about halfway through dinner that I'd actually dated him 12 years before! Another guy who pretty much told me I was too fat to date. Another one who sent me this really overly flowery email, but I decided to talk to him anyway - he turned out to actually be so horrible and negative on the phone that I made an excuse to end the call five minutes into it. But eventually, you do meet nice guys - in fact, my guy sent me an introductory email the day after the other jerk called me fat.

How are things going with the boy-toy and the man at work?

so... this thing with the ToyBoy has taken a serious turn... while things with G at work have cooled off - fortunately, since i do still have to see him every day.

but i finally got some interesting, genuinely thoughtful emails from guys in my suitable age range on the dating site....

oh boy... is this the "it never rains but it pours" theory at work???

i LIKE Cam and i'm comfortable with him - do i put him on the back burner for someone closer in age to me? he makes me feel beautiful and he's fun and if i suggest something to him, he says "sure, let's try it".

so the ToyBoy and i have cooled it off a bit due to the distance thing. and i accepted a date from someone else to go to last night's hockey game.

*sigh*

he's married!

jerk forgot to take his wedding ring off last night!!!!

oh, and he told me he was 40 and i believed him because his hair is all grey and he's actually 32!

to make matters worse, over on PoF i'm co-hosting a party with my friends Sylvia and Jean and to be a co-host you have to drop your restrictions on who can contact you. i've now become a magnet for guys in their 50s and above who think they're some kind of Love Machine and all these guys in their 20s who think i'm "hot"!!!
