Hello,
I hope I am posting this in the right place. Haven't been on for years. I have a 20 month old girl who will not keep any barrettes, bands, ties in her hair. I started really late putting them in and now she is like, "Are you kidding me mommy!?" I really need advice about how to keep her 3c hair under control and conditioned. It is drying out badly. Any advice at all is appreciated! I do NOT want to use harsh chemicals or inappropriate gels for her age...natural as possible...
Have you tried kinky curly knot today and curling custard?

Blame it on the cell phone...

I am still learning hair types, but I think my daughter has 3c hair as well. I struggled with her hair for a long time, but have recently stumbled upon a routine that works for us. I use Bee Mine Luscious Balanced Cream moisturizer, it can be pricey, but it last at least 6 months, and it has worked miracles on my daughter's hair. Anyways we use Bee Mine Luscious Cream and then seal with Coconut Oil, and then she always wears a satin cap to sleep in. Her hair is so soft and manageable now, I have noticed less shedding and breakage as well.
I have 3c hair. My 5 yr old daughter has curls as well. I love the purology line. The conditioner is intense and you only need a little bit. Comb through her hair when the conditioner is on and then rinse. Follow with a little leave in conditioner. Redkins "real control" or "fresh curls" really helps coat the curls and keep them under control. It leave hair feeling soft too.
