How to manage my mixed race hair?

Hey curlies, sooo I have an issue. I'm Native American, Black, and White, I'm 12 years old, and was never taught how to take care of my mixed race hair  My hair is 3b at the waaay back, and 3c everywhere else. The front sides of my hair get very frizzy though, and I'm transitioning. My hair is mostly curly, now though . But i don't know what to do with it!! My aunt has been putting it into two french braids, but I want more of an option. Ive tried things like mini twists or braids, but my hair takes after my mom's (who is also mixed, she just looks white) which is really soft and silky-like, so it frizzes up and looks messy within a week . I don't know what to do! I have about 3 1/2 of straight ends left, and I'm not allowed to cut it off... What can I do with it in the meantime? I want something different than just french braids :/ I guess I need a curly hair mentor. Please help, thanks! God bless ^-^(btw I know I posted this other places too, but i need help xD)

Your mom's hair sounds like my mom's hair. My hair tends to be a lot drier than hers and no where near as silky. Buns are a great go to transitioning style. Messy buns, top knots, etc and you can dress them up with cute hair clips!
