Is there a term for hair that loses curls as it grows? My daughter started out with curly hair (never really went past 2C) and I haven't seen much of it since she was 3yrs (now 5).

Ever since I stopped shampoo on both kids, her hair turned into lose waves with a curl here and there. She refuses to let us cut it, but I'm guessing that's the only way to get it back. She said she wants curls like mommy (not going to happen).

My daughter had 2c/3a hair up until age 2 or 3 and it is pin straight now (age 5). I can't get a single wave in it even if I scrunch. I wish I could have saved them but she outgrew them
