Help with my 2 year old girl CG doesn't seem to work.

Hi! My little girl is like a 3b I tried the CG routine but I did not see any improvement in her hair. When it is wet it has really nice curls but after dried its look dry and messy. I tried the suave naturals coconut, the strawberries from vo5, but nothing seems to worked. What could i do to control her wild hair...thanks
My daughters hair isn't as tightly curled as yours with your daughters being a 3b but I find that the dollar general version of leave-in conditioner does wonders for the frizzyness. It helps keep my daughters ringlets nice too. Its still not the effect I want because after half the day is gone they end up getting to be fizzy. My mother told me to use some kind of fruitise or something like that so... I have even went as far as putting mousse in her hair for curlies. I didn't like the weighted down look of that. There is a lot of stuff if you look up childrens products for curly hair on the internet for like 12.00. I havent' tried it but I am seriously thinking about investing in it. If you find anything that works really well let me know and I will do the same for you. Leave in conditioner is really nice for when they wake up in the morning with knotted hair. You spray it in and it works great to pick through.
Hi there,

I'm mum to Paige- a 5 year old with fine 2c curls/waves Ive been modified CG with her hair for a few months,I only shampoo with a sulphate free shampoo and thats only every 1-2 weeks, I'm having problems with her frizzy curls so I'm going to try the Fuzzy Duck products (they have really good reviews on here) I've just ordered the Shampoo, conditioner, gel and detangler spray today so I will let you know how it goes

at the moment I'm using Kinky Curly Knot Today as a leave in conditioner and its soooo good, and its Organic- so safe for little ones

I also love Jessicurl conditioners but they are too expensive to co-wash with

Hi! I would consider switching to a richer conditioner, like an Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Co. And like pp said, put a leave-in co in her hair for added moisture, maybe Giovanni direct?

Good luck!

eta: you may also want to try scrunching in some Aloe Vera Gel. Use the 100% pure kind, Fruit of the Earth makes it.

how do you style her hair? could that be why it looked messy? and a leave in conditioner might be a great idea...
Thanks for the recommendations... I was thinking about to use the curly kinki thing but I'm not sure for the mixes review...the other thing is that she has a lot of swirls in her hair... i'm still trying to look where her hair will go...i think this is the real problem. I add a picture....

She's so cute! I haven't tried going CG on my 14-month-old because she's always got stuff in her hair. She runs her fingers through it while she's eating. Anyway, I use California Baby products on her. The shampoo/body wash is sulfate-free, and the conditioner can be used as a leave-in.

Maybe that would help with the frizz? If leave-in conditioner doesn't work, maybe some gel (like the Fuzzy-Duck) would help. Good luck!

i dont think your daughter's hair looks bad or frizzy either! oh before you spend all the money on kiny curly or any other big name product, you should try a leaving in some conditioner and then applying a bit of aloe vera gel. that would really define her beautiful curls.

Don't waste your money on stuff made just for kids, to me it's a gimmick (don't mean to offend anyone) I've been able to use a little gel (it's deva arc angel, didn't work on me but works great for her) on my 4yr old and have done that since she was 2 cuz her hair would get WILD. I co-wash leave a tiny bit in and then srunch gel in while it's really wet. I tried the leave in and it doesn't seem to make a big diff. on her hair so I stopped. Simple is best, she doesn't want me playing around with it too much she gets mad at me but honestly, without gel it's just a big ol mess, especially on 2nd day! I spritz her with Lavender mist when I don't wash and she's fine. I do like her hair best on the 1st day though, beautiful little ringlets! I have pics of her in my fotki.
