Default Need Help with 8- year old long curly hair

[FONT='Century Gothic','sans-serif']I have been fighting with my daughter's hair since she turned 6, I have used just about every moisturizing shampoo and products from Creme of Nature to Mizani Shea Butter Blend. I sometimes give up and just straighten it with the Instyler. She has long beautiful curly hair that frizzes when it's straight or gets near a wee bit of moisture and were in Texas or when it's curly I have to pack on grease for her scalp, I use live and carrot oil moisturizer to control it but it doesn't help. I need to know what line is good for her from Shampoos', conditioner and daily applications. She is also getting involved in modeling and I want to know how often is too often to let her hair be straightend with the chi iron.

Hi, I am going to address your post piece by piece.

and were in Texas or when it's curly I have to pack on grease for her scalp - Please stop this, grease is only coating the hair and blocking moisture. Try using essential oils like jojoba oil and EVOO.

moisturizing shampoo and products from Creme of Nature to Mizani Shea Butter Blend. - Ingredients in both of these are questionable and I think are adding to the overall dryness

I need to know what line is good for her from Shampoos', conditioner and daily applications. - Nature's Gate and Burt Bee's make a good relatively cheap sulfate free shampoo. Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Conditioner is a staple for me. For cowashing I use VO5 moisture milk and Suave Naturals. For a daily leave in, many swear by shea butter, I personally use Giovanni Direct leave in.
