Default New mama of a curlytwirly

Hi all, I am a mama to 4 wonderkids. I was blessed with Sofia, my third, who has the most amazing curls! Unfortunately I have straight boring hair and am trying to learn to care for hers. I am just starting going no poo with her. It was like a revelation and has made her hair manageable and not in a massive dreadlock. She has 3a and 3b curls. How we where so lucky I'll never know. I would love to hear some product suggestions and comb out suggestions. I only comb when full of conditioner. I would love to have it look nice on day 2 after a comb out. How do I make it better for the both of us?

To achieve second day hair, you can put on a satin/silk bonnet on her head at night and/or sleep on a satin/silk pillow case.
A lot of people have had success with a pineapple too, if your daughter's hair is long enough. A pineapple is basically a high ponytail and when and if you do it, don't tie it too tight.

Make sure your daughter's hair is well conditioned before you come it. I'd recommend that you use a conditioner with good slip as well; it really helps. Are you use a wide-tooth comb to detangle or fingers?
There really is no "best hair butter"; everyone's hair is different and reacts differently to different products. If your daughter's hair is fine and light, go easy on thick butters so you don't way down her curls..
