I'm going to register as Republican
 

I'm going to switch and register as a Republican. That way I can vote in the Republican primary for Rick Perry. As I see it, a vote for Perry is a vote for Obama. Since Obama won't have a Dem oponent, I can best help him by trying to ensure that biggest jacksass in the world is the republican nominee.

Let me remind you that the last idiot govenor from Texas ended up being the President for 8 years. :(

I am just dismayed at the Republican field. I usually find someone I can identify with on some level and find myself appreciating [not actually vote for, mind you]. But this time 'round — other than Huntsman, who has, what, like 1% of the support — they are all world-class asshats.

Republicans are getting what they deserve, IMO. I just wish the rest of us didn't have to get it, too. We didn't do anything to deserve this.

Exactly. Democrats can't get cocky about Obama winning, even if the nominee is Perry. I never could have imagined Doofus Bush would have won, yet he did...TWICE!

I wonder how busy the polls will be in November.

I get waht you saying. I think its sad that in this day and age, america is still not ready for a brown person to have that much power.

Dumb question: how does one register for a particular party. I never got the option. I just have a regular voter card, I guess.
I should know by now, I guess...I've been voting since I was 21 (I was too young to vote in '88 when I was 17)...and I was ignorant about mid-term elections back then, as I was not politically conscious and was playing/studying in college. 19 years and I still don't get it.

Don't vote for Perry in the primaries. Believe it or not, he is actually very popular. It will backfire!

Huntsmen seems like the best, but he has no chance of winning. I am almost thinking that of the frontrunners...I hate to say it...Romney is the best of the worst. I'm not a big fan of his, but he just seems more rational, slightly more compassionate than the others.

I wish I lived in Massachusetts so I could vote Elizabeth Warren into office.

When you registered you should give you an option on your party affiliation. i marked no party affiliations. i vote for who ever i think is best for the job.
