Default Michigan passes anti-bullying law...

...that provides a bullying loophole if you can provide a moral or religious reason for the bullying behavior. WTF? The article below is worth reading if only for the Youtube clip of State Senator Gretchen Whitmer's very astute observations of why passing this law was worse than doing nothing at all:

Here's what the bill said when it was passed:

THIS SECTION DOES NOT PROHIBIT A STATEMENT OF A SINCERELY HELD RELIGIOUS BELIEF OR MORAL CONVICTION OF A SCHOOL EMPLOYEE, SCHOOL VOLUNTEER, PUPIL, OR A PUPIL'S PARENT OR GUARDIAN.
It's still up to the courts to decide how to interpret the phrase "a sincerely held religious belief or moral conviction."
