Check Out This Racist Coward

I had heard about people with Curious George t-shirts that said Obama on them. Now here's a video of a guy at a Palin rally carrying one with an Obama sticker wrapped around its head.

Notice how when he notices the camera on him he hides the monkey, then takes off the headband... then gives the monkey up completely.

Wow what a coward!!!

Then he has the nerve to give the doll to the kid... and to think people say racism has gone away.....

And here's me, thinking "What does Curious George have to do with Obama?"

I dunno if you're being sarcastic/joking but....

African-American/Africans have long been associated with apes/monkeys and that they never evolved and what not....

ex: my freshman yr of college I was taking a human evolution class, I was studying for an exam and a friend said "don't worry just think of black people and you'll do just fine."

YolyC 10-13-2008 07:53 PM

Sad, but not surprising. People I would have never thought to have racist views have surprised the hell out of me during this election.

I actually wasn't joking. I didn't make the connection until I saw your post.

He has an incredibly evil laugh!!

I know the monkey gesture isn't just about evolution but its a part of it... Blacks are seen as (not by everyone of course!) less than human, idiots, and savages thats how many people view apes/monkeys as well

I have to love the irony of some idiot chanting pro-life-pro-life-pro-life while that other idiot was stirring up racial hatred with his monkey doll. Somehow racial hate doesn't fit with a "climate of life".

Honestly.. this is the kind of thing that makes me embarrassed for America.

nynaeve77 10-13-2008 09:18 PM

Ugh...way to ruin Curious George, stupid racist guy!

redcelticcurls 10-13-2008 09:21 PM

...and more from the same poster & rally.

In my own state too. Ick.

Me, too. Then I realized...

agreed. it's funny too - obama grew up in 'white society' and had an african dad. so the racists can't even blame it on the 'african american culture they don't understand'

it really is just based off of his skin color. ugh.

texascurly 10-13-2008 10:07 PM

I am truly disheartened and saddened by this. I know this is going to sound really ignorant, but I had no idea how racist people still are...:sad11:

In one of the youtube vids, there are people commenting on his African father, and not in a good way.

Me too, and add a jaw drop.

It gets frustrating. It's as if we'll never evolve.
