McCain and Robocalls
So today I have been reading about how John McCain and his campaign have been making "robo calls".
John McCain in the past has called "robo calls ""hate-calls" when they were run against him but now is using them against Obama.
Has anyone on this board received a "robo call"?
If anyone hasn't heard any, here is a youtube link, Robo call
The McCain camp will stop at nothing, each day they get worse and worse. It is truly sad on their part they are so desperate to try anything they can to see if they can get the undecided voters to swing their way.
They just don't understand that playing dirty will get you nowhere and bite you in the a$$ one day...

Yeah, we got one of those calls a couple weeks ago. DH hung up on em. They talk really fast trying to get as much in before they get hung up on. It was saying the Obama wasn't ready to lead...blah, blah, blah, click.
I got an Obama call too, from Planned Parenthood. They were asking if I was voting for Obama, and I said "Hell yeah!"

I don't have a landline.. only a cell phone, so I don't think I'm on these "lists," thank goodness.
Planned parenthood called you? Crazy. [I mean, it makes sense. I just never realized they did campaigning.]

I've gotten 3 McCain hate calls in the last 2 days. I think he's trying to win back PA. He's doing them because he's running out of time and running out of money, and robo-calls are fast and CHEAP! According to all the "experts" though, they're not effective. They just make him look like a raving nut.

Yeah PP called. Probably cause of all the crazy anti-baby-killers that want to shut them down.

Oh, you know what? I do remember a few months back, cell phone numbers were officially sent to telemarketers and you could submit your number to a no-call list. I submitted mine and everyone in my immediate family's. Thaaaaat's probably why.
Good for PP. I really liked them when I was in college. Gotta love $5 BC.

Its so sad and disgusting. How desperate can you be?! I think that elections should have an upper limit on the level of sleaziness being employed by candidates. Once one candidate exceeds that limit, or starts employing hate/fear-igniting means, the election automatically goes to the other candidate. I mean come on, how can ANYONE consider this guy to be sound enough to be president? Desperation is never a sign of soundness of mind.
Also, a slightly unrelated note, has anyone realized that the republicans have officially coined two new terms for this election?? "Anti-American" and "Pro-American"...
I've heard Anti-American before, but never used so frequently, and to describe anyone that ISN'T conservative.
This is scary.
November 4th needs to come VERY quickly and to put an end to this madness...

Did you see McCain on Fox Sunday news defending thes calls as "legitimate and truthful"?

They are "legitimate and truthful" only because they aren't about him, because when they were he said robocalls were "hate calls" funny how the tables have turned and now they are acceptable in McCain's eyes.
