That's despicable! That guy should be arrested for hanging that thing in his yard.

Obama really needs to be upping his security, and make sure his security personnel are really working for and with him.

Sometimes there's a thin line between First Amendment rights and inciting violence, but everyone should be free to voice their opinion, especially the odious ones. The pleasant ones don't need protecting.

I agree! I can just imagine the types of hate mail and threats that he and his family gets.

Do McCain and Palin not realize that they are inciting these types?

This is how I feel:

As I expressed in another thread, this truly makes me sad and I hope nothing happens to Obama if he does win.

For every disgusting human like this one there are bigger numbers of us that are NOT like this jerk.
Stories like this only make me even stronger in my support for Obama.
And I respect Obama for continuing on.

Unfortunately, we are always going to have hate around us.
Obama knows it is there, his family knows it is there and the people hired to protect him know it is there.
Every black man, black woman and black child in history who has made the sacrifice to go after what they believe in, who has not allowed a jerk like this stop them, gives me hope of what can be. Hope for all of us.

As an Obama supporter I am not going to focus on the haters anymore. That is what the haters want.
Their goal is to take attention away from the positive and bring more hate into this world. They even thrive off the hate they "try" to generate from us. There are millions of people supporting Obama and millions of people who want to see him become president.

Yes, this person is sick and needs to be dealt with but I will not allow this one sicko and others like him to distract me from the huge numbers who support Obama.
Honestly, I really don't understand how you can hate someone for the color of their skin. I don't get it at all. What is going on inside your head?

"...the United States is white Christian nation and only white Christians should be in power."

I'm flabbergasted. If that was in my neighbors yard, I'd have to go pull it down.

ETA: I just noticed that the two S's in Hussain were written like Nazi ss

ETA again: I also disagree with the Obama supporters yard display.

Yeah, but do we really need to see a mock lynching in someone's front yard because he doesn't want a black president?

Wouldn't this be considered a hate crime? Is this not vial or repugnant enough to be a hate crime? Seems this is as bad as a swastika painted on a house or a cross burned in a yard. What are the laws on this type of thing? Seems to me this guy should be arrested or at least brought in for questioning.

I wonder if he used muslin (remember the other guy's sign about the "half breed muslin") to make the ghost?

So would I, completely disrespectful and wrong. I don't know how much more wrong you could get. Makes me ashamed people like this are associated with myself and other Republicans.

I think it shows a serious defect in this guys morals and character and I think he should be prosecuted for a potential hate crime, or for trying to incite hatred.

I can't find any laws regarding the incitement of hate in the US. I may just not be able to find it, but is there a US law regarding incitement? Seems like it would be protected as free speech unless it was accompanied by a criminal act.

I remember listening to a radio show and some idiot called in and said he wanted to "kill" someone who was running for president. The host later said the FBI asked them for some info on the caller and they went looking for him. They take this sort of stuff very seriously. I owuldn't be surprised if this guy wasn't paid a visit.

The 1st Amendment has been taken out of context once again. Not even surprised that their was no arrest. I agree with CurlyGina2, I would tear that crap down if I saw it in my neighborhood but knowing how this country works I would be going to court insted of him if I did that. But seriously Obama needs to watch his and his family's back.
